A superb early Georgian mule chest in solid oak. This beautiful chest dates to around the middle of the 18th Century. It would have been used to store blankets, candles, matches etc originally. The chest has a beautifully aged oak colour and patina – very warm and gorgeous. The chest is solid in its construction with some quality panel work to the front and both sides. With two lower drawers and some beautiful brass handles the chest now offers lots of fantastic antique storage.
It can be used in so many ways: as a coffee table, lamp/ side table, TV Stand, toy box, blanket box, log and kindling store etc etc. It is very clean inside and has the benefit of two lower drawers (remote controls?!)
Original, beautiful, very hard to find and a real treasure.

A beautiful Japanese chest dating from 31 January 1961 (stamp to the inside of the lid). The chest has many depictions of classic Japanese scenes. The figures and imagery are inlaid mother of pearl, making for a superb and very unusual chest. It is constructed form camphor wood to give a nice small. The outside has then been lacquered to protect the imagery and surface. Some wear is evident on the exterior but given its age and use it is in outstanding original condition.
The inside of the chest is exceptionally clean and retains all of its original brassware – very nicely aged too. It can be used in so many ways now, as a coffee table, lamp/ side table, TV Stand, toy box, blanket box, log and kindling store etc etc.
Original, beautiful, hard to find in this condition and a real treasure.

A very good 19th Century stained pine chest with original brassware. This gorgeous chest dates to around 1860 – 1890. It would have been used to store blankets, candles, matches etc originally. The internals of the chest have been sanded and cleaned. The exterior of the chest has a beautiful rich colour and patina – very warm and gorgeous. The brassware is original and very nicely aged too. It can be used in so many ways now, as a coffee table, lamp/ side table, TV Stand, toy box, blanket box, log and kindling store etc etc.

A superb late Georgian mule chest in oak. This beautiful chest dates to around 1800 -1830. It would have been used to store blankets, candles, matches etc originally. The internals of the chest are amazing. Lots of storage via trays, drawers and compartments to be used, or admired. The chest has a beautiful rich oak colour and patina – very warm and gorgeous. The brass handles are superb too. It is extremely rare to find these chest with their original working locks and key – but this one has them both! It can be used in so many ways now, as a coffee table, lamp/ side table, TV Stand, toy box, blanket box, log and kindling store etc etc. It is very clean inside and also has the additional benefit of two lower drawers (remote controls?!)

An original mid Century galvanised steel box with lid and working catch. Dating to around the late 1940’s/ early 1950’s it has the perfect age, colour and patina for a fantastic fireside log box. The lid fits well and easily with a ring pull catch for opening. The bottom has no holes. Something a bit different from wicker baskets and buckets to store your logs or kindling by the fire? And much harder to come by!
A superb rustic but neat solution for those impending cosy nights by the fire.
