A very pretty original Victorian bench. The bench dates to around the late 1800’s and is made from cast iron framework with mahogany seat and back. The legs have been painted black many years ago and have now aged perfectly with fading to the paint and some loss of paint (not too much). The seat and back are thick solid mahogany painted many times over the years but now stripped back and sealed with clear satin varnish for protection. Use inside or out, whichever you choose.

£0FREE Delivery on this item within approximately 130 miles of Cambridgeshire. Further afield areas will incur a charge to send via courier.
A stunning waiting room bench from the turn of the early 20th Century, circa 1910-30. It is walnut framed with beautiful turned detailing to the legs and arms. The frame is handmade from solid walnut, which has aged perfectly. The bentwood seat is punch hole designed from a neo-Gothic pattern, very much reflecting the UK Arts & Crafts movement of the era. We adore the design, colour and natural patina from years of ageing and use. The bench is not too large to accommodate and would look stunning in a hallway, dining area or kitchen. The bench does have signs of cosmetic use and wear, as you would expect from seating that is around 100 years old. Please see photographs for condition and just ask us if you would like further photographs.
Just stunning!

194cm Long, 94cm Back height, 47cm Seat height, Depth 63cm.

£0FREE Ground Floor Delivery on this item within approximately 130 miles of Cambridgeshire. Further afield areas will incur a surcharge to send via couriers.
A superbly styled and sized Victorian pine bench. The bench dates to around the late 1800’s and is solid to all joints. We fully stripped the bench of its later very dark brown stain and varnish. It was then primed, undercoated and treated to three top coats for resilience. It is now a beautifully rich deep French Navy. It could be used as a hall bench, boot room bench, dining bench, bedroom – or even in the garden or courtyard. A classic bench with superb originality brought bang on trend.
We have a matching pair of these but the second bench has not been painted yet. If you would like a matching pair of the same colour, or to have a bench in a different colour, please drop us a message.

£0FREE Shipping on this item within approximately 150 miles of Cambridgeshire. Further afield areas will attract a surcharge to send via couriers.
This is a beautiful late 19th Century folding seat bench in cast iron framework with antique pitch pine seating. It dates from around 1870-1890 and was made by the North of England School Furnishing Co, based in Darlington [‘Furney’] (1860’s to c1970). We assume it was therefore originally used in a school hall, dining room or gym? It is in superb condition for its age with all joints being solid and the bench sitting very sturdy for regular use. We fully cleaned the piece and gently restored its colour and finish, with some simple waxing to the gorgeous cast iron legs and back support.
All four seats fold up which makes it perfect for a narrow hallway. We love the style, colour and overall versatility of the bench. It could be a hall bench, additional seating for a party, bbq, Christmas etc. The bench is solid and sturdy when folded out and totally useable as an everyday use bench. We have added feet to make it stable but more secure fixings to a floor would make it look more ‘fitted’ and sleeker.
We adore the design and condition, making it stand out from the masses of hall benches available.
Dimensions:
68.5cm Back Height, 188cm Wide, 38cm Deep (back touching wall to front feet)
