A circa 1910’s to 1920’s Edwardian chest of drawers. The chest has a good solid weight to it and original very pretty handles. We fully stripped and refinished the carcass in Farrow & Ball’s Hague Blue, with a clear wax coat for protection and resilience. The drawers were also refinished in a colour match stain and satin varnish. They are a super size for a bedroom, bathroom or hallway – or any other room you need them 🙂 A contemporary update to a classic piece with pretty handles and very clean drawers inside.

An original set of George III drawers. The drawers date from around 1800-1820 and are graduated in depth from the top to bottom. They are well crafted from mahogany with the drawer internals in their original quarter drawn oak. The design is very classically Georgian as can be seen on the original swan neck brass handle design. We fully stripped the chest and refinished it in Farrow & Ball Hague Blue with a clear wax coat for protection against knocks and spills etc.
We love the colour and the fully finished effect. Transformed from dowdy ‘brown’ to a contemporary classic that will adapt and fit with a plethora of interior styles. The storage is generous and super stylish. This chest of drawers could be used in practically any room you needed them.

This is an original early 20th Century chest of drawers originally produced circa late 1930’s to early 1940’s. It came to us in a tired state of dull dark brown and in need of restoration. We fully stripped the whole piece and refinished it in Farrow & Ball Hague Blue Estate Emulsion for a contemporary colour pop and very appealing matt finish. A clear coat of Annie Sloan chalk paint wax has also been applied, to seal against water and spills. The chest has some details to it and superb handles.
We think it now offers a very contemporary and useful chest of drawers made by the very well established producers Harris Lebus. Reclaimed and refinished furniture is so much better for the planet too! Please note this will have some signs of age with cosmetic signs of wear, though nothing significant, it is not a new piece. Please look at all photographs carefully for the condition and just ask if you have any further questions.

A clear coat of Annie Sloan chalk paint wax has also been applied, to seal against water and spills. The chest has some nice weight to it, reflecting some quality of handmade construction. Not a lightweight flimsy piece. We love the size and clean lines, together with the gorgeous original drop handles for detail.

Not a lightweight flimsy piece. We love the cabriole legs sat on their original castors and also the handles are gorgeous.
We think it now offers a very contemporary and useful console table or chest of drawers made from solid wood and offering many more years of use. Reclaimed and refinished furniture is so much better for the planet too! Please note this does have some signs of age with cosmetic signs of wear (e.g one small chunk of the lower left leg missing). This console is an original solid wood console table / chest of drawers originally produced circa early to mid 1980’s. It is a piece we loved for it’s design, with a bow front, a nice gallery top in solid wood and minimalist circular handles in solid wood. The piece has a good quality feel and weight to it, with dovetail joints and quality carpentry. It came to us in a tired state of dull dark brown and in need of restoration. We fully stripped the whole piece and refinished it in Farrow & Ball Hague Blue Estate Emulsion for a contemporary colour pop and very appealing matt finish. A clear coat of Annie Sloan chalk paint wax has also been applied, to seal against water and spills.

A very stylish and cute chest of drawers that we fully refinished in Farrow & Ball Hague Blue Estate Emulsion for a flat matt finish. The drawers are made from solid Yew wood and date to probably the 1980’s. In an Edwardian style they are solid (no MDF or chipboard here!) The top has been clear waxed for protection against spills and marks. We love the finished effect. A contemporary update to a classic piece with pretty handles and five drawers offering very useful storage. It now makes a very stylish and contemporary chest for almost any room you choose – living room, bedroom, hallway, bathroom etc.
