This gym bench and baskets dates to around 1950-60 and came out of a school in Solihull. Beautiful quality, colour and finish to the original mahogany top and gorgeous natural wear to the galvanised steel shoe baskets below. A really good size and weight to be a super stylish and practical piece at home now. We had to add new legs to this bench as the old ones were rusted through and needed to be fixed to the wall. No good for ease of use at home. The new legs are a good weight steel box section, sprayed gloss black. Very in keeping and just like the originals in size and style. The legs also have plastic end caps/ feet to stop any scratching on floors.
We had various sizes and styles old school/ gym/ locker room benches available with rows of four or five baskets wide. We also have 1970’s later baskets which are black powder coated. We can also change the colour of the legs if you have a specific colour scheme you would like to match to.
We do also have lot of original mid century gym hooks in stock (original chrome ones from Mount Kelly school, painted ones, stripped, chrome, numbered, on back boards etc. etc.)

This gym bench and baskets dates to around 1950-60 and came out of the changing rooms at Mount Kelly Private school in Tavistock, Devon. Beautiful colour and sheen to the original mahogany top and gorgeous natural wear to the galvanised steel shoe baskets below. A really good size and weight to be a super stylish and practical piece at home now.
We had various sizes of these benches available with rows of four or five baskets wide (such as this one). We also have 1970’s later baskets which are black powder coated. We could even make up benches at double this width etc.

An original school changing/ gym bench dating from the 1980’s. Great Retro/ Old school styling for your home. The bench has a very nice weight to reflect the quality of construction. In very good condition for the age of the bench. The wood grain is beautiful, showing the quality of the ash used.
We have some of theses benches at double this length too. (236cm in length with four leg supports)
Should you need a slightly smaller length for a particular space/ alcove we can cut smaller than this (118cm) width for you too.

A fantastic 1930’s industrial bench from a German manufacturing plant next to BMW. The factory was being demolished and these amazing benches were saved. We have different lengths and widths available. The design is industrial but the colour, age and patina now make the piece very on trend and super stylish. We think they would make amazing hall benches.
This bench is large and like a tram/ train waiting bench. It could be used in a large hall, the garden, outside pergola etc. Equally it would look fantastic in a commercial setting such as a shop, restaurant, bar etc. We have sold over 20 of these and this is the very last one. Superb industrial cool styling at its best.
