£0FREE Ground Floor Shipping on this item. More remote and rural areas will incur a charge.
A beautiful large chest of two over three graduated drawers in walnut framework with bird’s eye Maple drawer fonts. The chest has all of the beautifully classic lines and aesthetics of a late Victorian to early Edwardian chest of drawers. We estimate that they were made sometime around 1900-1920. All five drawers are very clean inside and of sound and solid construction. Each drawer gets deeper from top to bottom with a very impressive deep bottom drawer that would have traditionally been used for storing blankets, bed throws etc. Now it is perfect for those chunky knit jumpers too!
We adore the design, size, weight and outstanding grain of the bird’s eye Maple drawers. The handles are of a later addition with some age and are also of good quality heavyweight brass – very in keeping with the age and style of the chest.
A classic piece that will never go out of style and will only get better and better with age.

£0FREE Ground Floor Shipping on this item. More remote and rural areas will incur a charge.
A beautiful chest of two over three graduated drawers in walnut and walnut veneer. The piece has all of the beautifully classic lines and aesthetics of a mid Georgian chest of drawers. We estimate this were in fact made sometime around 1940-60. They would most likely been a one off commission piece for a small local craftsman. The quality of construction is evident throughout – with the whole weight of the chest, dovetail joints and quality heavy brass handles. The exceptional walnut veneer to the drawer fronts is book matched beautifully and of a very high quality thickness. The top is veneered in outstanding spalted veneer, again book matched beautifully. There are also four ‘shield’ shapes cut in to the veneer top. Possibly just decorative or maybe a signature of the craftsman?
We adore the design, size, weight and outstanding grain of the walnut! Everything is right on this piece. There is one small area where the veneer has started to ‘ripple’. No loss of veneer and doesn’t really show, unless you feel for it and look at a certain angle (please see photograph). All five drawers run freely and a very clean internally.
A classic piece that will never go out of style and will only get better and better with age.

£0FREE Shipping on this item. More remote and rural areas will incur a charge.
A beautiful chest of Art Deco drawers dating from around the late 1920’s to early 1930’s. They are presented in a beautifully aged walnut with very unusual and pretty handles. The drawers are configured in a two over two formation offering lots of beautiful storage in four free running drawers. We believe the top would have had upstands or a small gallery fitted as there are two old marks on the top (see photographs) where some fittings would have been attached. These marks are blended very well now and are approximately 3cm long for a gauge. They detract in no way from this beautiful chest of drawers. The chest rests on solid walnut tapered legs and original brass and ceramic castor feet. Gorgeous.
This chest will look perfect in almost any room you choose. It’s a real keeper!
