Add to cartMORE INFOBeautiful Victorian Salon Sofa (requires reupholstery)
£545FREE Ground Floor Shipping on this item within approximately 130 miles of Cambridgeshire. Further afield areas will incur a surcharge to send via couriers.
A stunning late 19th Century salon sofa in walnut frame. The sofa is beautifully hand turned and carved in walnut. It dates to around 1880-1900 and is in need of new upholstery. The webbing on the underside is very good and has been replaced at some point. The padding is thick and full – it should need no replacement or adding to. The material requires stripping and reupholstering to your taste. We were going to have this re-upholstered but the few people that saw it in this condition had very different ideas and tastes. We thought it best to leave it to the buyer. Once finished this would be a sofa of at least £1495-1995. An absolute treasure, ripe for making your own individual statement piece.

185cm Maximum Width (arm to arm), 89cm Maximum Back Height, 62cm Maximum Depth

£0FREE Shipping on this item within approximately 130 miles of Cambridgeshire. Further afield locations will incur a surcharge to send via couriers.
An original Edwardian chaise longue dating from around 1900-1920. The chaise has been in the same family for over 40 years. It has been later reupholstered in a good quality Champagne coloured fabric. A very neutral but warm colour making it very easy to accommodate in to most colour palettes. The seat has some beautiful carving, all done by hand. The frame is structurally very solid and the fabric is clean with good padding below for comfortable sitting/ laying. We think it makes for a very chic statement piece with lovely detailing but not fussy or OTT.
A classically Edwardian antique piece brought in to a contemporary realm. Very chic but with true history.

An original early 20th Century settle bench in pine. We stripped the piece of its later brown paint. It was then sanded, made structurally solid and fully repainted. It’s first coat of primer was followed by Farrow & Ball Manor House grey, then Gustavian Blue and finally two top coats of School House White. We then distressed the bench in the natural wear points to bring that fantastic mix of gorgeous colours together. Can seat 3 people very comfortably. A fantastic alternative to chairs at the main dining table or a superb hall bench.
Fresh, gorgeous and full of character!

£0FREE delivery on this bench within approximately 150 miles of Cambridgeshire. Further afield, remote and rural areas will incur a charge.
A stunning settle bench dating from approximately 1790 to 1810. The settle has been expertly hand made in a walnut frame with oak back panel inserts; and walnut marquetry. The quality of the piece is highly evident in the quality of the turning and shaping in the arms and legs. Expertly carved, shaped and rounded by true craftsmen. The walnut has aged beautifully with all of the original patina and wear on the back panels and arms. The bench is heavy and structurally solid to all joints. It is totally original throughout but two of the rear panel inserts have vertical splits (very common from shrinkage in modern centrally heated houses). There is also an old repair to the upper section of the arm. Repaired well and colour blended. For its age it is in very good original antique condition. The seat has been re-upholstered in a complementary dark gold velvet fabric. We adore the age, the colour and original patina of this bench. A superb bench that should be adored and treasured as it gets even better with the years.

£0FREE Shipping on this item within approximately 150 miles of Cambridgeshire. Some more remote and rural locations will incur a charge.
We took this original Edwardian Salon sofa and stripped off the ripped and sagging seat. The seat was fully re-webbed, hessian backed and then reupholstered in a plush velvet fabric. The colour is a light mocha we would say. The seat had been painted in a matt black paint at some point in its life, age unknown. We liked the old flat paint and sign of original use/ distress/ wear to the paintwork. We simply cleaned the whole frame and gave it a wax protection coat to leave its heritage but give it a freshen up and some protection.
We think it now offers a classically Edwardian antique piece brought in to a contemporary realm. Very chic but with true history.

£0FREE Delivery on this bench within approximately 10 days. Further afield, remote and rural areas will incur a surcharge.
A superb French antique wooden bench dating from the turn of the 19th/20th Century in a beautifully coloured and aged fruitwood. We have a matching pair of these benches available (price is for one bench). The construction is good and solid with tight mortice and tenon joints to the framework. Clearly made by skilled carpenters not just crudely put together. The benches are in really nice antique condition. Some cosmetic wear marks but really good for their age and previous uses.
The benches are nice and slim for narrow hallways or spaces, not taking up too much space but offering a very usable and solid bench for taking shoes on and off – or a bathroom bench etc.
201cm Long, Depth Max. 29cm (bottom of the feet), 15.5cm wide bench top.
