A beautiful chest of early 20th Century drawers dating from around the early 1900’s to 1930. They are presented in a beautifully aged finish with stunning handles. Very French in their design, reminiscent of popular 18th century design. All drawers are very well made with pin dovetail joints to the sides. The drawer internals are very clean and the whole chest is completely solid and free from any wobbles or loose joints. There are some very common shrinkage splits to the sides; due to modern central heating. Aside from the side splits the drawers are in excellent antique condition. Beautiful colour, patina and French lines.
This chest will look perfect in almost any room you choose. It’s a real keeper!

We have a set of these four gorgeous vintage dining chairs designed by Leslie Dandy and produced by GPlan. They retain their original upholstery in very good clean condition and their original GPlan makers labels for authenticity. The chairs are constructed from quality teak with beautiful design and a really nice solid weight; reflective of the quality of teak used. We love the carver chairs, which would make great feature chairs in an eclectic mix of chairs around a dining table. As a four they represent a very nicely designed set of solid wooden chairs at superb value for money.
All chairs are structurally solid. These are a design classic that will just get better with age.

A very cute mid Century compact desk in good quality oak . These are often referred to as Teacher’s desks. This one dates from the late 1930’s and is in lovely original condition. It also has a very useful extending leaf to the side for extra work surface when required. This is perfect for where space is tight but you still need a fully functioning and gorgeous vintage teachers desk. The desk has a superb colour and patina. With two really useful deep drawers and a pull out shelf/ top tray, this desk has all the style and charm you want in its compact size.
The colour and condition are exactly right for a very stylish work/ study desk. It could equally be a fantastic hall/ console table or dressing table.
We have sold a number of these compact desks and they never hang around for long.

An original mid Century Emergency Exit sign. This fantastic sign was hand painted around the 1950’s to early 1960’s. It retains vibrant but superbly aged colours on it’s original wooden board. There are various marks and old paint runs etc. All can be seen in the images and all just add to its history. We think it is a superb piece of wall art now, a size that has a real impact statement without being huge and over powering. Some people may need to know where the nearest exit is over the Christmas period? 🙂

An excellent example of the ever popular Abbess desk in Oak. These are often referred to as Teacher’s desks. This one dates from around 1950 and is a superb rich honey oak colour and size. Two drawers to the pedestals offering lost of really useful storage, with the bottom drawer being a double height filing type drawer. An additional kneehole desk gives plenty of storage across the three free running desks. This desk also has its original screw out brass feet to level the desk for uneven floors or give an extra 2cm of height, if required. The Abbess label is still present to the fornt of the desk and stamped inside of the central drawer for provenance.
We fully cleaned and restored this one to its former glory. Please check all photographs for the condition. A beautiful rich aged oak colour and patina that will just age perfectly. The size is perfect if you have smaller space or want to create a work space, rather than a dedicated study or home office room.

A fantastic European settle bench in very good order. Made in pine it is been painted a number of times over the years. It now presents itself in a neutral pale grey with areas of wear and distress; reflective of the age of the piece. It is very generously sized and can seat 4 people comfortably. A fantastic alternative to chairs at the main dining table. The storage underneath also offers a real advantage over chairs. The under seat storage is exceptionally clean in this example.
The bench colour will blend in to many contemporary palettes.

We just love the quality and style of this gorgeous cupboard. It is made from heavy solid oak, quarter drawn to show the amazing grain. It dates to around 1910 to late 1920’s with its original Art Nouveau inspiration. It is a nicely weighted piece, reflecting the quality of oak used and the handmade carpentry. We adore how the cupboard has aged and what condition it remains in, considering its age. We think it would make a superb hall cupboard for magazines, keys, mail etc. But it could equally be a gorgeous bathroom or bedroom piece, a side/ lamp table etc. Such style and flexibility.
The door has its original handles and one locking drawer.

They are presented in a beautifully aged rich walnut finish and are in super original condition throughout. The drawers are configured in a set of two over three very clean and solid drawers. The handles are all original with a very Arts & Crafts style. All drawers are very well made with pin dovetail joints to the sides. The drawer internals are very clean and the whole chest is completely solid and free form any wobbles or loose joints. The style is very much Arts & Crafts with some very sharp carving detail, reflecting the quality of hand made craftsmanship. They are beautifully and classically designed and will blend with many interior styles and colour schemes.
This chest will look perfect in almost any room you choose. It’s a real keeper!
