A superb original mid Century plan chest on its original removable frame. The beautifully aged teak drawers sit on their original legs which are easily removed for transportation and positioning. The legs are attached by bolts and wing nuts. The three drawers are all very clean inside and free running. We adore the colour and flexibility of this piece. Use as a chest of drawers as photographed or remove the drawers from the base to make a fantastic statement coffee table? Incredibly popular pieces now whether it be for storing artwork, collections, magazines, as a TV stand etc etc.
We sell numerous plan chests/ architect drawers and we doubt this will be with us for long!

A truly stunning Art Deco French sideboard in beautiful walnut. The sideboard is incredibly heavy (circa 100 kgs) and is beautifully hand crafted from solid thick walnut with burr walnut veneer to the door fronts and top. The grain is really quite exceptional. The wood has been gently restored and finished in Osmo Oil Satin finish to showcase its beauty and offer a stain resistant finish. The lines are so classically Art Deco and it now offers very on trend styling with lots and lots of very flexible storage. Inside the sideboard are beautiful pull out haberdashery type trays. The shelves are all height adjustable or easily removable, making it very accommodating for your own storage needs.
The three doors are vey heavy and solid and lock with one key. Rare to find such a beautiful large example in such stunning original condition.

This changing bench and coat hooks date to around the 1970’s and came out of a school in Cambridgeshire. Constructed from thick wall steel box section and beech it is solid, has a really good weight and is a fantastic piece of original old school styling . A perfect way of tidying up a hallway or entrance whilst adding a real style statement. The bench will hold lots of shoes, coats, scarves, bags etc.

A gorgeous astragal glazed drinks cabinet. The piece dates from around the 1930’s and is presented in a beautiful design and colour. The glass in the doors is all original and glazed piece by piece. The shelves are easily height adjustable by moving the shelf support pegs. The cabinet sits on elegant Queen Anne style legs. The colouring is rich and warm; not too dark or heavy. It was originally supplied by Lamertons Department Store in Ealing, London, W5. They used ponies and carts to deliver their homewares in and around London. How fabulous?
We re-finished the back in Farrow & Ball Wevet eggshell. This gave the piece a contemporary facelift to bring it bang on trend for 2023. What a perfectly gorgeous gin / drinks cabinet?

An excellent example of the ever popular Abbess pedestal desk. These are often referred to as Teacher’s desks but this came from a private home in central Cambridge. This desk dates from around the mid to late 1950’s and is in excellent original condition. It retains all of its internal drawer liners with the Abbess stamp, together with its original stationery tray. It is in a gorgeous rich colour and a compact but very usable size. The original Abbess brass levelling feet are are still attached to the bottom of the legs. The feet can be wound out to level the desk on uneven floors or raise the whole desk height by around 30mm (maximum). A very good example indeed.
A great size offering a compact but fully functioning desk. The colour and condition are exactly right for a very stylish work/ study desk – or a teenager’s study desk?
We have sold a number of these Abbess desks and they never hang around for long.

A superb Fry’s Chocolate/ Confectionery shop display cabinet. Dating from the early 20th Century and probably 1910-1920, the cabinet is made from oak wood framework, glass and hand painted signage in gold. Most of the original sign writing is still in tact, as can be seen in the photographs. It would have sat on either the shop counter or floor displaying the Fry’s chocolate and cocoa products for sale in the shop.
The interior is accessed by two up and over doors, both with original glass and brass handles. Any original antique chocolate/ confectionery display cabinets are very hard to find in such good condition and are increasingly sought after. Styled now as a bookcase but could hold cups, glasses, soft toys, trophies, etc etc.
It makes such a stunning decorative piece that almost every visitor will want to see and admire.

A very good 19th Century stained pine chest with original brassware. This gorgeous chest dates to around 1860 – 1890. It would have been used to store blankets, candles, matches etc originally. The internals of the chest have been sanded and cleaned. The exterior of the chest has a beautiful rich colour and patina – very warm and gorgeous. The brassware is original and very nicely aged too. It can be used in so many ways now, as a coffee table, lamp/ side table, TV Stand, toy box, blanket box, log and kindling store etc etc.
Original, beautiful, hard to find in this condition and a real treasure.

A superb oak bureau supplied by Staverton in 1955 (stamped to the rear). These pieces were typically found on military bases either in the offices or private officer’s homes. This one came to us in an unloved and neglected state. We carefully stripped it back to reveal the beautiful oak grain. We then restored it sympathetically to reinstate the fantastic colour and condition that it should be in. A fantastic piece of UK social history and a beautiful piece of furniture. Ready for a lucky new owner to treasure and use for another 60+ years.

An unusually sized original mid century glazed bookcase/ unit/ sideboard in Teak. Produced in the 1960’s by Morris of Glasgow the cabinet has a really good weight and also some really nice brass ware. The door hinges are fully hinged piano hinges, adding to a quality construction feel. The size is unusual in that it is quite tall but slim. Ideal for an alcove or somewhere that is restricted on the width available. The unit is completely original with exceptional condition to the solid wood framework, original sliding glass doors and original handles and catches. Very hard to find in such outstanding original condition.
Both the top and bottom shelves are easily adjustable, or removable, by simply moving the wooden support pegs to different holes. Or removing the shelves completely, should you need to. Both doors slide easily and are free from chips. If you need any further close ups or have any questions, just ask us.
We think the piece offers lots of flexible storage capabilities as a bookcase, drinks cabinet. sideboard, display unit etc. It can easily be accommodated in to living, dining or bedroom styling. Fantastic and highly desirable mid century styling at such a great value for money price.
