A gorgeous mid century teachers desk handmade in oak. It dates from the mid 1950’s to mid 1960’s and is in excellent vintage condition. The work surface is very clean and a great size for where space or access is a little tight. The desk has one wide and very clean, free running drawer. The desk is totally original with the Astrola makers label still on the back of the desk. Astrola produced some good quality home and school furniture in the mid Century from their premises in Hammersmith, London, W6.
These mid Century teachers desks are always so popular. When they look as cute as this, what is there not to love?

A beautifully designed and grained sideboard / credenza by Greaves & Thomas. The piece had been finished in a beautifully coloured and grained mahogany. There are many signs of the quality used in its production, for example, the weight of the piece, the quality brassware both inside and out, all sat on tapered and fluted legs with capped feet. The doors truly show the stunning flame mahogany grain which really makes the piece stand out from the crowd. It sets itself way apart from the plethora of teak and teak veneer mid Century sideboards on the market today.
With two large cupboard areas and two long drawers there is a vast array of storage space available. It could be used as a TV stand and media unit, drinks cabinet and books etc etc. Amazing mid century styling in a beautiful finish by a very well regarded name.

A gorgeous c1950’s teachers desk handmade in oak. It dates from the 1950’sand is in excellent vintage condition; fully cleaned and gently restored by us. The work surface is very clean and a great size for home – perfect for a regular use but stylish desk. The desk has six clean and free running drawers in total, offering lots of storage options. The bottom right hand drawer is a double height drawer for a filing cage and suspension files, if required. We love the super condition and the lines – especially those recessed handles!

A stunning George VI linen cupboard dating from around the 1820’s to 1830’s. The outer framework and top are made from quality English mahogany, displaying the best of the beautiful grain, with perfectly aged colouration. The carcass displays additional quality finishing with inlaid piping to the top and door infills. Internally the large haberdashery type drawers are also made from mahogany oak with pine bottoms. All the drawers have been sanded back to remove layers of lignin paper and wallpaper over the years. They can be used as is or lined with your choice of paper or material.
We adroe the classic Georgian lines, the condition and beautifully aged patina. It is a stunning genuine antique and would make a beautiful addition to almost any room.

A stunning design by Alfred Cox from the late 1960’s. The credenza, or sideboard has the quality hand craftsmanship expected by this high quality producer. Alfred Cox pieces were sold in high quality retailers, including Heals of London. The piece is long and heavy, reflective of the quality of Australian Walnut wood used. The main cabinetry is made of beautifully grained walnut, complemented by teak and beech to the handles and lower frame/ legs. All of the drawers and internal sections of the piece are clean and run freely. There is one light sub surface scratch to the top. Difficult to see unless very close but please see photograph.

A very cute and gorgeously coloured 1960’s solid oak bookcase. The bookcase has a good weight to it reflecting the solid oak and heavy glass doors used in its construction. Clearly hand made to a high standard and in excellent vintage condition. The upper glass and lower wooden doors are all original and slide freely. There is some height adjustability to the upper shelf. We love the colour and simplicity of the lines. It will fit in to most interiors and become a staple clean design piece that could easily move rooms/ homes with you.

A perfectly coloured oak example of a mid century glazed bureau bookcase cabinet by Minty of Oxford. Minty produced some really nice quality bookcases from the early 20th Century to the late 20th Century. This very flexible model was produced in the 1930’s and the oak has aged perfectly – not too dark and not too light. With so many storage sections it offers great flexibility as a bookcase, drinks cabinet, secretaire etc. All sections and doors are original and working exactly as they should be. No chips or scratches to the doors. The middle bureau section retains its original working lock and key for safe storage, should you need it.
Very stylish and super on trend at the moment. It would be hard to find a better example than this.

A beautifully designed low chest of two drawers with lift up mirror for hair and make up drawers. This piece was designed and produced by Goldex in Sweden in the 1960’s. It has fantastic mid century lines and could be used as a chest of drawers, as a dressing table or even a TV stand. It is perfectly coloured in mid century teak with those gorgeous tuned legs below. The top of the lower drawer handle looks like it has had an old repair. Nothing that stops its use or can be seen unless pointed out – but we need to for honesty and transparency. A very stylish and unique vintage cabinet in teak. The piece has been bespoke handmade by a carpenter approximately late 1960’s to mid 1970’s. It is well made from beautifully grained and coloured teak hard wood. The piece has a really good weight to reflect the quality of timber used in its construction. It does split in to two sections for ease of transportation. We have styled it as a more living room focused cabinet but the storage is so flexible it could be used in the bathroom for towels, robes, toiletries etc or in a bedroom for throws, cushions, clothing etc.
A very flexible piece with such gorgeous style. You won’t see another one anywhere.
