A mid century desk handmade in beautifully coloured golden oak. It dates from around the late 1960’s and is in completely original condition but fully cleaned and gently restored by us. Presented in perfectly aged and coloured golden oak it is a very stylish desk with beautiful minimalist lines, and not too big for home use. The top is very clean and offers a really nicely sized work surface. All three drawers have dovetail joints and are very clean inside. There is also a pull out shelf for drinks, mouse mat etc.
A super mid century desk that is all ready for a lucky new owner to treasure.

An amazing desk in solid English oak, dating from the early 1930’s. These desks typically came from a Government office/ Public Service such as Civil Servant Offices, Schools, Railways etc. This desk came to us in a dreadful state of old varnish and paint. We fully (and painstakingly) stripped the desk back to bare wood before refurbishing it and sympathetically restoring the colour and aged finish. It is now presented in a warm oak, retaining signs of wear and use to maintain the character and authenticity of the desk. The beautiful aged brass cup handles also carry the GR stamps. There are cosmetic marks and signs of use to the original green top. Please see photographs.
Two drawers have been sanded back and cleaned internally, one required a new bottom liner. They all retain their original beautifully aged brass cup handles. We have had a number of these George V and George VI desks and they always sell so so quickly.
This will only get better with age and appreciate in value. A superb quality antique desk.

A very clean set of teak drawers by UNIFLEX. Designed by Gunther Hoffstead and Peter Hayward, UNIFLEX brought revolutionary design in the 1950’s and 60’s, competing with G Plan, Ercol and the other large names. UNIFLEX offered more minimalistic designs that were not so popular in the mid Century but clearly very much appreciated now. This chest of four graduated drawers has a very clean and classic design. Constructed from teak and teak veneer the piece has some quality touches, such as the top drawer parquetry. The drawers are in good original condition, with just one small area of old repair/ infill at the rear right hand corner (see photograph). All four drawers are very clean inside and run exactly as they should.
The top drawer retains the original UNIFLEX stamp for authenticity. All handles are original.
This would make a super design statement piece in your space.

A heavy porcelain double sided LADIES LAVATORY sign that dates to the early 2oth Century (circa 1910’s to 1940). We purchased it from a private owner that claimed the sign was from a demolished toilet block in Kew Gardens; though clearly we have no provenance to prove this. It is heavy at circa 10 kgs. It could be wall mounted as is or framed and hung. We just think it is a gorgeous piece of English heritage and would look fantastic in the right setting e.g. a bar or restaurant in SW London.
We wouldn’t trust sending this via parcel services as it could easily be broken. It will be sent via couriers or delivered by us if close enough.

The piece is completely original throughout and very hard to find in such amazing condition. Most are dented or damaged and very inconsistent in their patina. We think it makes for a different and very attractive storage vessel for flowers, leaves, umbrellas, walking sticks etc. However you choose to style. A stunning late 19th Century salon sofa in walnut frame. The sofa is beautifully hand turned and carved in walnut. It dates to around 1880-1900 and is in need of new upholstery. The webbing on the underside is very good and has been replaced at some point. The padding is thick and full – it should need no replacement or adding to. The material requires stripping and reupholstering to your taste. We were going to have this re-upholstered but the few people that saw it in this condition had very different ideas and tastes. We thought it best to leave it to the buyer. Once finished this would be a sofa of at least £1495-1995. An absolute treasure, ripe for making your own individual statement piece.

A rare and incredible find. This shop display piece dates to around the 1930’s to 1940’s. It consists of two heavy uprights with solid chromed steel arms sliding over chrome steel tubes with heavy base and inserted finial tops. There are four pieces of bevel edged glass that sit on the shelf supports. Three of these shelves are original with one shelf having some chip damage to one corner (please see photograph). One shelf has been matched to the originals but is new safety glass. The shelf heights are easily adjusted by the thumb screws to the sides. It would have clearly sat in a larger or prestigious shop displaying items of quality.
We think the shelves would make an incredible towel and toiletry stand in a bathroom or look amazing full of your special collection of Jimmy Choo’s and Christian Louboutin’s.
