An original, circa late 1920’s, advertising sign in enamel on steel. The sign came to us in three pieces but we couldn’t let that detract from its fantastic colours and patina. The sign is part of the original Torquay Shoe Store sign (was there only one in the 1920’s?). We adore the colours and the well aged and weathered condition of this sign. It is perfect for a surf shop, café, restaurant or holiday home in Torquay? Or for somebody originally form Torquay? We mounted the sign on to a white 12mm thick back board to keep it secure and together.
We think it now carries the perfect mix of well aged colours and patina for a cool and very stylish piece of wall art. Hang or display wherever you wish. Two holes are pre drilled in the back board ready to be mounted wherever you choose. Signs of this age and size are very scarce and highly sought after!

A fantastic solid and heavy oak desk that looks very contemporary and stylish. This desk dates from the late 1920’s to mid 1930’s. It is a beautiful colour and size with plenty of storage within the six drawers. The desk has three drawers to the left pedestal, a central knee hole drawer and a double height filing style drawer to the right pedestal, with a further standard sized drawer above. Both pedestals also have pull out top shelves for drinks, resting books, mouse mat etc. There is one small area of missing veneer to the left hand side panel of the desk. Please see the photographs for detailed condition.
These desk are most commonly referred to as teachers desks now. We have sold a number of these old teachers desks and they never hang around for long.

An original school changing/ gym bench dating from the 1980’s. Great Retro/ Old school styling for your home. The bench has a very nice weight to reflect the quality of construction. In very good condition for the age of the bench. The wood grain is beautiful, showing the quality of the ash used.

Should you need a slightly smaller length for a particular space/ alcove we can cut smaller than this (118cm) width for you too.
