A superb original (week ending) 15 October 1949 ILLUSTRATED magazine cover. We fell in love with the image and the colours for the age of the cover. Hard to believe that image is 72 years old. It could easily be less than 20 years old? Shot in Kew Gardens, London for the new range produced by the Italian designer Elsa Schiaparelli. The model photographed is Capucine (famous model and actress). We had it bespoke mounted and bespoke framed it in a matt black contemporary frame. We love the finished product. The mix of vintage and contemporary that we adore. Original, unique, stylish and different.

An original hand painted sign dating from around the late 1920’s to early 1930’s. It came to us directly from the US and is rear reverse painted on acid etch glass. The glass comes in its original mounting frame with superb patina and colour. Originally it would have been mounted over a light box to illuminate the EXIT door/ way. We can make a light box for it if you would love it as a light or desk lamp. Just ask us for a quote with your requirements. Otherwise it makes a superb piece of vintage wall art as it stands.
