A gorgeous mid century oak desk handmade by Astrola of London (Hammersmith, W6). It dates from around the late 1940’s to late 1950’s and is in beautiful condition. Fully cleaned and gently restored by us. This desk came to us form a private owner in Buntingford, Hertfordhsire. The family owned it from new and served two generations of studying and working, both parents and children. It presents itself in a beautifully aged oak colour and patina with a really nicely sized work surface for home use. All six drawers un freely and have been cleaned and sanded back internally. The desk also retains the original makers badge on the rear.
The build and quality will mean this desks can only appreciate in value if looked after well.

A simply stunning solid oak desk handmade by Astrola of London (Hammersmith, W6). It dates from around the late 1940’s to late 1950’s and is in completely original condition but fully cleaned and gently restored by us. We adore the pull out trays with the tambour door that closes over them.
Beautifully coloured and aged honey oak throughout, with through dovetails joints to the pull out drawers and dovetails on the pedestal drawers. The tambour door works smoothly, as do all drawers and the pull out top shelf to the right pedestal.
A beautiful and rare desk that can be used as a decorative/ dress piece or as a fully functioning desk space.
The build and quality will mean these desks can only appreciate in value if looked after well.

A gorgeous circa 1980’s desk in teak. Designed and made by Bent Silberg Mobler. Presented in excellent vintage condition it displays classic Scandinavian lines, very much of the mid Century influence. The top is superb with beautiful teak grain. All six drawers are clean and run easily. The top two drawers are lockable with keys present.
A gorgeous desk that is perfectly sized for home. Not too deep for passing through doorways and staircases.

A very stylish desk from 1970 By Burndale, with beautifully grained and coloured teak. It dates from 1970, having a stamp to the underside and is in really good vintage condition, fully cleaned and gently restored by us. With three clean free running drawers, together with its original pull out stationery tray, the desk has everything you need for a regular use desk. At 122cm wide it is not too big for home use and getting it in to the room you need,

A beautiful 1960’s desk handmade and distributed by Kingdor Furniture. It dates from around the late 1960’s and is in completely original condition but fully cleaned and gently restored by us. Presented in perfectly aged and coloured teak it is a very solid desk and heavyweight to reflect the quality of wood used. The work surface is very clean and very generous in size – perfect for a regular use desk. The desk has one deep filing drawer to the bottom right pedestal, complete with suspension rails. There is plenty of additional storage in the further four drawers, together with two pull out top pedestal shelves.

Presented in perfectly aged and coloured teak it is a very solid desk and heavyweight to reflect the quality of wood used. The work surface is very clean and very generous in size – perfect for a regular use desk. The top two drawers in the pedestals both have working locks and one key operates both locks. The bottom two drawers are deep filing drawers, complete with suspension rails.

It dates from around the early to mid 1960’s and is in completely original condition but fully cleaned and gently restored by us. This desk came to us from Oakham Private School in Rutland, where it had spent its whole life from new. It is presented in a beautifully aged oak colour and patina with a really nicely sized work surface for home use. The drawers run freely and have been cleaned and sanded back internally.
A super looking desk, very useable for regular working but a nice size for most people to be able to accommodate. The kneehole space is exceptionally generous, which enables the use of a larger more modern desk chair. Unusual for mid century kneehole desks!
