A superb mid century steel desk presented in exceptional condition. So many of these desks are in poor condition with dents, scratches, rust etc. No surprise given their industrial use over the last 60 years or more? This one is in a fully stripped and satin polished finish. It has been stripped and polished to a vey high standard. With very clean, free running drawers and its original top. The desk is in superb condition with only small cosmetic marks to the top. It was manufactured by Strong Steel in the 1950’s to early 1960’s and now makes a super desk for a tighter space or a teenager’s study desk?

A superb looking 1960’s green steel desk in very good original condition. So many of these desks are in poor condition with dents, scratches, rust etc. No surprise given their industrial use over the last 60 years or more? This one is in the best and most sought after colour green with its original black top. The desk is in very good original condition with some dents and marks, reflecting its previous factory use. All six drawers are clean and run well, the bottom right hand drawer being a double height filing drawer. There are also two pull out shelves at the top of each pedestal (see photograph).
These mid Century industrial/ tanker desks are very highly sought after. With the condition and size of this desk it is perfect for regular use, with a very generous work surface and lost of very useful storage. All of the fantastic industrial design in the best colour with perfectly aged brass handles.

A pretty exceptional example of mid century industrial design by Sheep Pride (England). It dates from the late 1950’s to mid 1960’s and is a rare find in this condition. We have sourced many industrial desks but this is certainly one of the best we have found! It is in completely original green paintwork and is exceptional condition for the age of the piece and its industrial/ utilitarian heritage. The desk has six drawers in total, all with original handles, perfectly aged in brass. Most desks of this age and style have dents and rusting. The top of this desk is also very when you consider their heavy use over the years and age. The top does have a few cosmetic issues. There is a small ding to the steel edging (circa 2cm), a quirky repair in leather to the front right edge (10cm wide x 1cm deep) and a rear corner repair, again in leather (14cm diagonal, 4 cm at deepest point – easily hidden by a desk lamp, vase etc.) Please see extensive photographs for the exact condition and just ask if you need any more detail. All drawers are very clean and run smoothly. The bottom right hand drawer is a double height filing drawer. A solid desk of great quality and a real stand out piece of industrial design.

A very unusual mid century industrial design steel desk. It dates from the late 1950’s to mid 1960’s and is from an RAF Military base. We have sourced many industrial desks but this is certainly one of the most unusual we have found! It is in completely original green covering, over steel and is in super condition for the age of the piece and its military heritage. The desk has three free running drawers in total along with a top pull out stationery tray. All of the handles are completely original and in fantastic condition. Most desks of this age and style have dents and rusting. The top of this desk is also in very good condition when you consider their heavy use over the years and age. A very cute desk dating from around the 1950’s to 60’s. It is presented in original condition throughout with a super original condition top and plenty of drawers for storing all those magazines, papers, mail etc. It is an adult height desk and could be used as one. Alternatively it could be a great hall table, dressing table or teenager’s desk, amongst other uses. All drawers are exceptionally clean and run very freely. Industrial desk of this age are rarely found in such good condition due to their heavy use in factories and years of being banged around.
This has an industrial style but in the cutest package.

A very unique and super stylish industrial design desk. The desk came to us with a rotten top and covered in terrible creamy coloured gloss paint. We fully stripped all of the sides of the pedestal and the legs. We managed to save some original ivory paint to the front facias of the two drawers. We also replaced the top with a brand new piece of Swedish birch ply and coated it in satin varnish for protection and resistance to spills etc. We love the finished fusion look. Part stripped, a splash of colour and retention of old paint together with a fresh Swedish birch top offering a generous and very clean work surface. Both drawers are clean and run freely. A superb blend of many good things making this desk completely unique and not something you could buy in the high street shops anywhere.
These mid Century industrial desk are highly sought after. With the condition and size of this desk it is perfect for home or home office where space is a consideration. Not too big to have to worry about accommodating it but plenty big enough for a fully functioning desk.
