A very stylish and solid mid century teachers desk handmade in oak. It dates from around the late 1950’s to mid 1960’s and is in completely original condition but fully cleaned and gently restored by us. It presents itself in a beautiful honey coloured oak with superb original patina and a really generous work surface for home use. With eight free running drawers there is also a huge amount of very useful storage space. The bottom right hand drawer is a double height deep filing type drawer for extra storage.
English oak with quality dovetails joints to all drawers with original wooden drawer runners. The drawer internals are also very clean.
The build and quality will mean these desks can only appreciate in value if looked after well.
Please note this is a large desk and does not disassemble without having to re-fix and glue later. Therefore you should double check all measurements to ensure it will pass through doors, turn corners, stairs etc to get to the room of your choice.

A very stylish and solid mid century desk handmade in oak. It dates from around the late 1950’s to early 1960’s and is in completely original condition but fully cleaned and gently restored by us. It presents itself in a beautifully coloured oak with superb original patina and a really nicely sized compact work surface for home use. With three free running drawers there is also a lot of very useful storage space. The top drawer comes with original lock and a new key to lock the drawer. There desk also has a pull out stationery tray to the top of the pedestal. A perfectly gorgeous desk for where space is a premium but you still need a fully functioning desk. The desk is not tall but the kneehole height and leg clearance is very generous at 61cm. Some much larger desks only have 56cm leg clearance due to having a central drawer.

A simply stunning and very rare solid oak desk handmade by the world renowned Globe Wernicke. It dates from around the late 1920’s to mid 1930’s and is in completely original condition but fully cleaned and gently restored by us.
Truly stunning heavy English radial cut oak throughout, with through dovetails joints to the pull out drawers and dovetails on the kneehole and pedestal drawers. These desk are pretty hard to find in such good original condition but to find one by Globe Wernicke is pretty special indeed. The tambour door works smoothly, as do all drawers and the pull out top shelves. The desk has lots of beautiful little pigeon holes and two very special pull out trays for pens. The roller door has its original lock and key. When the door is pulled down and locked an internal locking mechanism also locks all drawers at the same time. Very secure.
A beautiful and rare desk that can be used as a decorative/ dress piece or as a fully functioning desk space.

A very stylish 1960’s double pedestal desk handmade by Burndale (British). It dates from the 1960’s and is in completely original condition but fully cleaned and checked by us. It presents itself in a beautifully aged colour and patina with a really nicely sized work surface for home use. With the generous dimensions of the desk it is a very practical desk for regular use . It does not disassemble though so please check measurements carefully for where you would like to position the desk.
The left pedestal contains three generous free running drawers with a pull out stationery tray above. The right pedestal has a double height bottom ‘filing’ type drawer, single drawer above and a pull out tray/ shelf to the top. Super stylish and incredibly practical!
