An original industrial factory lamp in completely original condition. It dates to around 1940-50 and is in excellent condition for its age and past use. It came to us from a factory in Budapest, as can be seen form the metal label still attached at the base of the lamp. We cleaned the lamp, got the articulated joints moving and oiled. We then added some new twisted black fabric cord and mounted it on a bespoke oak mount. The oak is also mid century to match the age of the lamp. Both arms adjust in height and position via the original wing nut fastenings
We love the style and the character. This lamp is a superb example of an original mid century industrial lamp. If only this lamp could tell you some of it’s stories…..?

An original early 20th Century inspection lamp in amazing original condition. Very rare to find these lamps in such amazing condition. Most of the cages have been battered, rusted, misshaped etc. . The handle is in its original oak finish with perfect colouring and patina from many years of use. The cage has great patina, is in amazing shape and such a gorgeous finish/ patina. The ceramic bulb holder is original and the lamp has been rewired in twisted black fabric cord.
The lamp can be sat on a desk, table, shelf etc. It can also be suspended from its cord. Either way it offers some unique and atmospheric lighting. The bulb required is a standard UK bayonet (BC) fitting with a whole array of colours and wattage to achieve the exact light you are looking for.
We love the style and the character. One of the bets inspection lamps we have come across. If only this lamp could tell you some of it’s stories…..?

An original c1920’s Art Deco lamp in beautiful original condition. This little lamp has everything going for it – beautiful simple 1920’s design lines, original and excellent condition with some nice weight to reflect the quality. It has been fully rewired with a black fabric twisted cord and PAT tested for safety. It has then been mounted on a bespoke made solid oak base. We now think it would make a superb desk lamp or bedside lamp; though could go in any room you choose (excluding bathrooms!)
The lamp is in excellent condition with a superbly aged patina to the metal finish. The inside of the shade and rim shows some sign of age and wear but nothing to downgrade its excellent antique condition. The shade does rotate to be able to direct the light source.
Very hard to find in this finish and condition.

An original 1970’s Type 90 Anglepoise lamp in its original White paint colour. Herbert Terry produced the Type 90 for Anglepoise in 1973 until 1983 when they were taken to mass produced (Type 90 Apex) and no longer produced by Herbert Terry in Redditch. A very nicely styled and aged original lamp in a great colour and original vintage condition. The condition is very good and the original Anglepoise sticker is still inside the shade. There is one significant scratch to the base but that side can easily be hidden at the back if you like. The lamp also has the stamp of the Anglepoise Trademark Type 90 on the base fork uprights (see photographs) to prove its heritage and authenticity.
Very popular vintage lamps that sell really quickly – and we completely understand why. They look fantastic already but will just keep getting better with time.

Quite simply the best Anglepoise WL2 Lamp we have seen. Designed by George Carwardine & Kenneth George in the 1960’s this lamp dates to the late 1960’s to early 1970’s. It is in truly exceptional and 100% original condition with only one very small blemish to the red shade (possibly 2mm). The base is made from heavy cast iron, together with an aluminium adjustable arm and red plastic shade. It is a classic 1960’s design piece from the very well established stable that produced all of the more familiar Anglepoise lamps. We love the simplicity, very clean lines and over all look. It is retro but also very contemporary in its minimalist design. It would make any desk instantly style up. Anglepoise stickers in tact to prove its heritage. It even retains its original and very rare Anglepoise plug.

An original and very rare Type 75 Anglepoise lamp in its original purple paint colour. We have never had one in this colour in stock, or even seen one on our travels and buying trips before. Herbert Terry only produced the Type 75 for Anglepoise from 1968 until 1973 when Angleposie replaced it with the Type 90 lamp (1973 to 1985). A very nicely styled and aged original lamp in a fantastic t colour and original vintage condition, complete with original black fabric twisted braid cord. The condition is exceptional with only a few very minor marks. The shade is still in its complete original shaped with no dings to the rim to misshape the circle. The lamp also has the stamp of the Anglepoise Trademark on the base fork uprights (see photographs) to prove its heritage and authenticity.

A superb example of the pretty rare mid Century ‘Simplus’ counter balance lamp by Hadrill Horstman. This lamp came out of a science lamp, where it was used as a bench lamp (sticker still on the plug). It is in totally original condition and is more unusual in white than cream. This lamp even has the original Horstman stickers on the screw grommets (see photographs). There are some cosmetic paint marks and loss but for the age it is in excellent condition and very hard to find in such good original condition.
This now makes a superb vintage desk or side lamp with a difference. Fully adjustable and full working as it should. A great lamp!
