This console is an elegant solid wood console table produced circa 1980’s as an antique style piece. It retains its original brass drawer handle base don a very well used Edwardian design. The piece has a nice quality feel and weight to it, solid and sturdy, not flimsy. It came to us in a tired state of dull dark brown. We fully stripped the whole piece and refinished it in a beautifully rich French Navy Blue for a contemporary colour pop and very appealing matt finish. A clear coat of Annie Sloan chalk paint wax has also been applied, to seal against water and spills.
We think it now offers a very contemporary and useful console table made from solid wood and offering many more years of use. Reclaimed and refinished furniture is so much better for the planet too!

This is an original antique chest of drawers originally produced circa early 1900’s. It came to us in a tired state of dull dark brown and in need of restoration. We fully stripped the whole piece and refinished it in Little Greene Paint Company’s ‘Tea with Florence’ Eggshell. Eggshell has a natural seal against water and spills. The chest has some nice weight to it, reflecting some quality of handmade construction. Not a lightweight flimsy piece. We love the size and clean lines, together with the gorgeous detail on the handles.
We think it now offers a very contemporary and useful chest of drawers made from solid wood and offering many more years of use. Reclaimed and refinished furniture is so much better for the planet too! Please note this will have some signs of age with cosmetic signs of wear, though nothing significant, it is not a new piece. Please look at all photographs carefully for the condition and just ask if you have any further questions.

We fully stripped the whole piece and refinished it in Farrow & Ball Hague Blue Estate Emulsion for a contemporary colour pop and very appealing matt finish. A clear coat of Annie Sloan chalk paint wax has also been applied, to seal against water and spills. The chest has some nice weight to it, reflecting some quality of handmade construction. Not a lightweight flimsy piece. We love the size and clean lines, together with the gorgeous original drop handles for detail.

This console is an original solid wood (Yew) console table produced by Willis & Gambier. They produce very nice quality furniture with dovetail joints and quality construction. This piece was around £865 when new (circa 1990). It came to us in a tired state and in need of restoration. We fully stripped the table and refinished it in Farrow & Ball Hague Blue Estate Emulsion for a contemporary colour pop and very appealing matt finish. The top has been coated in Annie Sloan clear chalk paint wax to seal against water and spills. We replaced the small wooden handles for some very pretty original antique drop handles with beautiful back plates to complement the overall style and colour of the finished piece.
We think it now offers a very contemporary and useful console table made from solid yew for many years of use. Reclaimed and refinished furniture is so much better for the planet too!
