A truly superb tambour door bookcase/ unit by Dyrlund of Denmark (https://dyrlund.com/). Dyrlund, founded in 1960, still produce very high quality home and office furniture focusing on beautiful natural products. Some of their desks sell at over £10,000.
This example dates from around the 1970’s and is in a beautiful rosewood finish, shown by some of the amazing grain and colouring, unique to rosewood. The upper section offers three sections with easily height adjustable shelves. The bottom cupboard is accessed via superb vertical tambour doors. Beautifully crafted, heavyweight and pretty unique. The piece does split in to two sections for transportation.

A beautiful early 20th Century stacking bookcase in very good order indeed. The piece offers very stylish storage in its three glazed sections. The mahogany construction has aged perfectly to give a stunning colour with outstanding grain. All of the glass is original, as is the up and over door opening and closing mechanisms. The bookcase splits in to 4 sections for ease of transportation and moving to the room of your choice.

An excellent example of an original mid century low glazed bookcase/ unit/ sideboard in Teak. Produced by Nathan in the 1960’s and 1970’s this is solid, completely original and in super condition.
With lower glazed doors, an open shelf in the top section and two drawers below, it offers lots of flexible storage capabilities as a bookcase, drinks cabinet, sideboard etc. It can easily be accommodated in to living, dining or bedroom styling. The shelf in the lower glazed section is fixed. Fantastic and highly desirable mid century styling.

A very stylish and super condition 1960’s cabinet in teak. We think this gorgeous little cabinet would make a great record/ vinyl cupboard, a drinks cabinet, a TV Stand – or all three! The piece was produced by Vanson from teak and teak veneer with steel tubular legs in a satin black finish. Very mid Century, very cool and super practical. It retains its original brass handles and brass door catches. 100% original and a great piece of flexible furniture.

A beautiful early 20th Century stacking bookcase by Lebus. The piece offers lots of storage in its four generous glazed sections, together with a bottom pull out drawer. The bookcase splits in to 5 sections for ease of transportation and moving to the room of your choice. The whole piece is presented in perfectly aged oak with the cutest original button handles too. This bookcase has some very attractive features that set it apart from most stacking bookcases; namely the curved lines, the hand carved fretwork to the cornice and the shaped sides to the top of the piece. All marks of quality that would have set this bookcase at the upper end of what Lebus offered in the early 20th Century. This would have been an expensive bookcase when new, and now it is even better with age. We haven’t come across a better Lebus bookcase!

Produced around the 1960’s this is a really clean and completely original example. It is the earlier and better quality Gold Label Autograph range by Herbert Gibbs. A great size, superb colour with original adjustable shelves and original glass. With a slim cupboard to the right hand side it offers super flexible storage for the things you want to see and the more unsightly but necessary things tucked away.

A very stylish and super condition 1960’s cabinet by Beaver & Tapley Ltd. It is a very nicely designed piece with nice touches on the construction. The shelves are solid teak and easily height adjustable or removable. All four sliding doors are original and free from chips or visible scratches. It is finished in its original rich teak finish. Its sits very well on its solid teak leg base, very stereotypical mid century ‘Modern’ design. Loads of really useful storage space make this piece a very practical but stylish option for your home. It can obviously be a sideboard, drinks cabinet, bookcase or any mix of the storage needs you need.

An excellent example of an original stacking bookcase in oak. Produced around the late 1920’s to mid 1930’s by Gunn, this is a really clean and completely original example. It is in perfectly aged and coloured quarter drawn oak – showing the high quality oak grain. It retains the original Gunn makers label stamped in to the bottom of the bookcase sections. This four-section stacking bookcase has a beautiful carved frieze to the top section and all of its original pull handles. All sections have opening doors on ball catches. Each section can be separated for easy transportation and assembly. We also have a smaller and deeper version of this amazing bookcases available.
The Gunn Furniture Company originated in Grand Rapids Michigan. Founded by William S Gunn, a furniture workshop was added to his hardware products in 1874. The company passed to his son, William A Gunn after his death in 1909. It became famous for desks and in the 1910s and 20s, the company began to produce sectional bookcases.
It can easily be accommodated in to living, dining or bedroom styling. Fantastic and highly desirable, with clean lines that offers incredible value for money.
