A simply stunning mid to late 19th Century Victorian glazed bookcase with original glass, internal sliding bolts, lock and key and brass handles. It dates from around 1860 to 1880. We fully stripped the piece and refinished it in original Farrow & Ball paint – Railings to the exterior with a clear wax for finish and protection. We also stripped back the interior to its gorgeous natural wood finish and then applied a Matt varnish finish for protection too. The shelves are easily adjustable or completely removable with the side support system allowing increments of approximately 2.5cm for each ‘step’.
The piece now offers all of the beautiful style and quality of an original antique bookcase but brought bang on trend with a superbly classic colour scheme. The classic styling and flexible colour scheme will fit with most styles and colour palletes. A real statement piece!

An exceptionally stylish and unique early 20th Century dresser. It originally dates from around 1910 to 1930 and retains all of its original features – such as the porcelain handles, the brass handles, the glass, the carved corbels, brass escutcheons and key. The dresser has been fully stripped and refinished in Farrow & Ball Hague Blue Estate Emulsion on the outside with Wevet eggshell for resilience on the internal cupboard top. Areas have been slightly distressed where natural wear would occur over the years. This gives a nod to its genuine antique authenticity and brings out the character of the design and carving work. The whole dresser has also received a final finish coat of clear wax for protection.
We adore all of the drawers with their original handles; very reminiscent of an Apothecary cabinet. Labels could be added to the drawers to enhance the features.

A beautiful and very stylish late 19th Century Victorian glazed dresser / bookcase in original walnut finish. It dates from around 1880 to 1900 and has beautifully aged original cabinetry, glass, brass ware, locks and key for both sections. This came from a private Client home in SW London where it lived through three generations, owned by the same family. It is very stylish, classic and flexible in design and very flexible to match a vast array of room styles. The colour is superb having aged beautifully over the last 120 years+.
We think it would also make a fantastic individual bookcase/ dresser or kitchen / diner cabinet. The piece is tall though and does not split in to two sections for transportation. The bookcase stands at 231cm tall so please check your ceiling heights carefully before purchasing. This is an impressive size that will certainly commands lots of attention and only appreciate in value.

A very stylish late 19th Century Victorian glazed dresser / bookcase in original mahogany finish. It dates from around 1880 to 1900 and has original cabinetry, glass, wooden handles, lock and key. This came from a private Client home in Amersham, Buckinghamshire where it lived form new, owned by the same family in the same house. We fully cleaned the whole exterior then repainted the top internal section with Farrow & Ball Wevet colour paint. This has given the piece the mix of antique, rustic and contemporary. It is very stylish, subtle in design and very flexible in the colours – to match a vast array of room palletes. The colour is superb having aged beautifully over the last 120 years+. There is one small old repair to the left hand side of the top section. Please see the photograph. Clearly a professional repair (approx 5cm x 4cm) but there is colour variation to the wood.
We think it would also make a fantastic and individual kitchen / diner cabinet or a bookcase/ dresser. The piece splits in to two sections for ease of transportation and siting. A very stylish and unique 19th Century Victorian glazed dresser in old painted pine. It originally dates from around 1860 to 1880 and has been painted many years ago (we estimate the last paint to be 1920’s-30’s). It was originally a dresser/ linen cupboard but then later converted to a wardrobe with a hanging rail and hooks added. We glazed the doors and converted it back to a dresser as we think it has perfect rustic country style appeal and so much fantastic storage for a kitchen. The piece splits in to two sections for ease of transportation and siting. The bottom of the dresser has the most fantastic deep drawers for storing place mats, cutlery box, party games, towels, tea towels or whatever else you need.
Please note this is over 130 years old and obviously carries chips to the paint, old cracks etc. However, it is a very heavy and solid piece constructed from antique thick pitch pine throughout. We have photographed everything to try and show its true condition, so please examine the photographs closely and just ask, should you need more photographs or a detailed condition report. All marks are part of its history and add to the rustic appeal and original character of the piece. Perfectly imperfect!

A very stylish 19th Century Victorian glazed dresser / bookcase in original mahogany finish. It dates from around 1870 to 1890 and has original cabinetry, glass, upper section lock and key. The lower section has a secret serpentine drawer with two door cupboard below. The corbels are very well carved. The dresser is in original condition with some signs of old repairs and a few ‘dings’ here and there. It is good condition for its age with all joints solid and all four doors opening freely on their original hinges. We fully cleaned and oiled the original exterior finish then repainted the top internal with Farrow & Ball Wevet colour paint. This has given the piece the perfect mix of antique, rustic and contemporary. It is very stylish, subtle in design and very flexible in the colours – to match a vast array of room palletes. The size is very good too. Not too huge and imposing but also offering plenty of stylish storage.
We think it would also make a fantastic and individual kitchen / diner cabinet or a bookcase/ dresser. The piece splits in to two sections for ease of transportation and siting.
Please note this is over 130 years old and does carry residual marks and damage from use, along with a couple of old repairs (done well) to the hinge area of the right door. An original Victorian dresser with glazed upper doors (original glass), two deep drawers and plenty of storage space in the bottom cupboard section. Classic Victorian dresser styling, constructed from pine throughout, with porcelain knobs to finish. The piece originally dates from circa 1870-1900 and does split in to the upper and lower sections for ease of transportation and moving in to the room of your choice. We refinished the piece in Farrow and Ball’s Railings to the exterior and Wevet internally. We left the shelves in their original pine finish for contrast and aesthetics, to give the piece a classic but contemporary finish.
We believe the dresser now has all the character and appeal of an original antique but brought right on trend in these beautifully classic colours. Period and Contemporary fused together fantastically.

£0What an absolute beauty?! An original Victorian glazed bookcase from a school. Dating to circa 1880-1890 it is constructed from pine with all original glass and catches. A truly impressive size with perfect age, colour and patina. SO much storage and classic, flexible styling makes this a perfect statement piece in the room of your choice.
All joints are solid, doors close very easily and catches catch the doors closed. Exceptionally hard to find in this condition!
