Stunning original early 20th century overhead luggage racks from a train on the New South Wales Railway in Australia. The New South Wales Government Railways was the agency of the Government of New South Wales that administered rail transport in New South Wales, Australia, between 1855 and 1932. These racks are beautifully designed, perfectly aged, in super condition and very very useful. The are made from brass sides and wire with copper tube rails. Each side has the NSWR log scrolled in to the brass. They are incredibly rare to find in this condition. A perfect size for the hallway and somewhere to very stylishly hang those coats, scarves and hats. Alternatively they would make superb towel holders in the bathroom or pan and utensil holders in the kitchen – along with many other potential uses.
For their age they are pretty exceptional.

Original 1970’s overhead luggage rack from an InterCity 125 train. The arms were originally painted a dark dirty beige colour. We fully stripped the arms back to bare metal, burnished the metal and then oiled. It now offers superb industrial styling but clean and sleek lines. It can be used however you choose – as a bathroom towel shelf, hats, scarves, trophies, books, hand coat hangers from for a coat stand etc etc.
Although we fully cleaned the piece it will still have sign of use. It’s not new but all photographs should show the true condition. Excellent for its age and use. A great piece of functional design now offering a whole new purpose for your home or business.

Original mid century overhead luggage racks from a train. We estimate these to be 1940-50 and we absolutely love them. They are beautifully designed, perfectly aged, in super condition and very very useful. They are incredibly rare to find in this condition. A perfect size for the hallway and somewhere to very stylishly hang those coats, scarves and hats.
We have taken many photos to show the condition so please look closely. For their age they are pretty exceptional.
