A beautiful tall astragal glazed cabinet in super condition. The piece dates from around 1900-20 and is presented in beautiful refurbished condition. The glass in the doors is all original, as are the internal brass sliding bolts, working lock and key. There is also some beautiful carved Corinthian style cornice work to the top . The back of the cabinet has been refinished in Farrow & Ball Wevet to really freshen up the piece and provide a great backdrop for displaying your chosen items. We think it would make a superb bookcase, drinks cabinet, bathroom towel cupboard etc. You decide!

The glass in the doors is all original, as are the internal brass sliding bolts, and drop handle. There is also some beautiful subtle marquetry on the cabinet carcass along with hand carved ball and claw feet; all showing its quality and expense when hand made new. The interior of the cabinet has been refinished in Farrow & Ball Wevet to the rear as all three shelves. There is lots of flexibility to its use with the wide deep shelves on offer. We think it would make a superb bookcase, drinks cabinet, bathroom towel cupboard etc. You decide!

An unusually sized original mid century glazed bookcase in quality teak construction. Produced in the 1960’s it is completely original throughout. The size is unusual in that it is quite tall but slim. Ideal for an alcove or somewhere that is restricted on the width available. The bookcase has it’s original easy slide glass doors. Very hard to find in such outstanding original condition.
All the shelves are easily adjustable, or removable, by simply moving the wooden support pegs to different holes. Or removing the shelves completely, should you need to. If you need any further close ups or have any questions, just ask us.
We think the piece offers lots of flexible storage capabilities as a bookcase, drinks cabinet. sideboard, display unit etc. It can easily be accommodated in to living, dining or bedroom styling. Fantastic and highly desirable mid century styling at such a great value for money price.

A superb mid Century glazed bookcase of impressive size and weight. It dates to around the mid to late 1960’s and is in completely original condition throughout. It is very well made form hard wood with original thick and heavy glass doors. All four doors are in excellent condition with no chips. All shelves are solid wood with their original supports which allow height adjustments, or can easily be removed. The top glass doors are also very easy to removed should you prefer and open top section with glazed bottom. It could be used as a bookcase, Drinks cabinet, display cabinet or a complete mix of all of them! You choose.
Beautiful clean lines and nice quality.
A classic and timeless piece.
