A very clean and well preserved set of original mid century steel filing drawers. They come in the best aged green colour. Produced by Howdens in the 1960’s the drawers are in a superb colour and condition, with all original handles and label holders. The condition is exceptional for the age of the cabinet with no dents, major scratches, rust etc; which are all very common on these old filing cabinets. It is the perfect size for home or office with all drawers ready for new A4 suspension files that fit on the drawer sides as sliding rails. The cabinet and drawers have all been fully cleaned and the runners re-oiled. Superb condition for its age with plenty of industrial design and character. Industrial style and practicality all rolled in to one.

A unusual set of original mid century steel filing drawers in a very attractive grey colour with slight blue undertones. We have not seen this colour before , nor the gold handles and label holders. The colour combination really works and will blend very well with a vast range of colour schemes. All four drawers have their original side rails for suspension file hanging. The cabinet also comes with working lock and key to be able to lock all four drawers.
The cabinet and drawers have all been fully cleaned. Lovely condition for its age with plenty of industrial design and character. Industrial style and practicality all rolled in to one.

A great set of original vintage (c 1960-65) steel filing drawers by Art Metal (London, SW1). Most of these cabinets are by Roneo. Art Metal cabinets are much harder to find; especially in this condition with this finish. This set has the advantage of still having its original side rails for hanging suspension files. They are very rare to find in unscratched condition. The lock is present but there is no key present and the lock has been disabled, to prevent accidental locking of the drawers.
A very nice size for home or office. The cabinet and drawers have all been fully cleaned and the runners re-oiled. Plenty of mid Century industrial design and character. Industrial style and practicality all rolled in to one.

A great set of original early 20th century (c 1920-40) steel filing drawers by Art Metal (London, SW1). Most of these cabinets are by Roneo. Art Metal cabinets are much harder to find; especially in this condition with this finish. This cabinet is unusual in that it is an old example. Most are 1940-60’s but this one is stamped ot the side with the patent of 1918. Great colour and original condition, with perfectly aged original handles. They are very rare to find in unscratched condition.

A great set of original mid century (c 1940-50) steel filing drawers by Art Metal (London, SW1). Most of these cabinets are by Roneo. Art Metal cabinets are much harder to find; especially in this condition with this finish. This cabinet is unusual in that it is a green filing cabinet underneath but was finished (from new) in a paint effect to look like wood grain. Great colour and superb original condition, with perfectly aged original brass ware. They are very rare to find in unscratched condition. This one survived so well as it came directly from a solicitor’s office in Warwickshire, where it spent its whole life in an office, rather than a warehouse or engineering firm. They clearly looked after it well!
