A exceptional set of original mid century steel filing drawers in the best perfectly aged green colour. Produced by Shannon (Systems) around the late 1950’s to mid 1960’s the drawers are in a superb colour and condition, with all original handles and label holders. The condition is excellent for the age of the cabinet with no major scratches, rust etc; which are all very common on these old filing cabinets. It is the perfect size for home or office with suspension file rails still present and in tact (3 of the four drawers). The cabinet and drawers have all been fully cleaned and the runners re-oiled. Superb condition for its age with plenty of industrial design and character. Industrial style and practicality all rolled in to one.

An exceptionally clean and original set of mid century steel filing drawers by Shannon. Most of these mid Century cabinets are by Roneo, Art Metal, Milner etc. This one is very unusual, in that it is produced by Shannon. They are much more well known for their early 20th Century mahogany filing cabinets that regularly fetch prices well over £1000. This steel cabinet is in exactly the right colour, super condition and with the perfectly aged brass ware. A very nice size for home or office. The cabinet and drawers have all been fully cleaned and the runners re-oiled. The cabinet has been cleaned and waxed with carnuba wax for protection and shine. Superb condition. Industrial style and practicality all rolled in to one. A nice piece to be very useful but also to treasure.
Some minor cosmetic issues that we will highlight for transparency – the lock is not working and has been drilled out (hole through the centre), there is one dent to the front second drawer (bottom left hand croner) and there is one small handle back plate missing form the bottom drawer handle.
