An original chest of gorgeous early Victorian drawers in mahogany. The drawers date from around 1870-90 and are presented in a two over three configuration. We stripped the carcass of the chest to really lift the piece and refinished in Farrow & Ball Manor House Grey with a clear wax finish for protection. We kept the original finish on the drawers to show off the beautiful grain and aged patina which contrast against the grey paintwork.
We love the beautifully grained wood, the contrast with the paint and the fully finished effect. Transformed from dowdy and tired to a contemporary classic that will adapt and fit with a plethora of interior styles. The storage is generous and all five drawers have been cleaned internally. This chest of drawers could be used in practically any room you needed them.
Please note the drawers are over 120 years old and they will have minor cosmetic marks to the front and some signs of wear. Please see all photographs for the true condition and just ask if you need more detailed photos.

An original chest of gorgeous early 20th drawers in mahogany. The drawers date from around the 1930’s. The chest comes complete with their original swan neck handles. We stripped the tired old brown varnish and refinished in Farrow & Ball Railings with a clear wax finish for protection.
We love the chic timeless colour and style! The storage is generous with all drawers running easily and cleaned internally. This chest of drawers could be used in practically any room you needed them.

We stripped the sides and top of the chest due to veneer damage and refinished in Farrow & Ball Off Black with a clear wax finish for protection. We kept as much of the original veneer by leaving the drawers in tact for contrast against the black paintwork.
We love the beautifully grained wood, the contrast with the paint and the fully finished effect. Transformed from dowdy and damaged to a contemporary classic that will adapt and fit with a plethora of interior styles. The storage is very generous and all five drawers have been cleaned internally. The bottom drawer offers extra deep storage. An original set of George III drawers. The drawers date from around 1800-1820 and are graduated in depth from the top to bottom. They are well crafted from mahogany with the drawer internals in their original quarter drawn oak. The design is very classically Georgian as can be seen on the original swan neck brass handle design. We fully stripped the chest and refinished it in Farrow & Ball Hague Blue with a clear wax coat for protection against knocks and spills etc.
We love the colour and the fully finished effect. Transformed from dowdy ‘brown’ to a contemporary classic that will adapt and fit with a plethora of interior styles. The storage is generous and super stylish. This chest of drawers could be used in practically any room you needed them.

They are constructed from solid wood and all drawers are very clean inside (please see photographs). All drawers retain their original drop handles to prove its antique authenticity. The chest has been fully stripped and refinished in Farrow & Ball Green Smoke Eggshell for resilience and protection against spills etc.
