A very stylish and superb looking old school science lab cabinet. Dating from the 1960’s the cabinet is constructed from solid beech and veneer faced bottom doors. The cabinet came to us from a school in Harrogate, where it spent its whole life. It was rescued by the teacher’s son before it was heading for its destiny in a skip! Internally it is very clean with adjustable shelf height supports on both sides. The height of the shelves can easily be adjusted or they can be removed completely. The internal bolts and handles to the exterior are all present and original. Both top and lower sections are lockable and have the keys. The lower section does have some cut outs in the back where sockets/ leads were accessed. These science lab cabinets are getting very hard to find and are so sought after; especially such original ones as this in beech. We can definitely appreciate why! The cabinet splits in to the upper and lower sections for ease of transportation and siting.
Perfect as a book store, magazines etc or a drinks cabinet to mix up your own special potions. Superb clean lines, in great condition and a superb colour. Very on trend!

A pretty unique and rather lovely oak bookcase dating from around the 1960’s. It retains all of its original glass doors and solid oak shelves internally. The bookcase shows good quality production and materials from its weight and finishing touches. The shelf edges have detailed edges, again showing some quality design and finish. Below the glazed section is a very useful solid door cupboard, to store away the more unsightly but necessary things. Internally the bookcase is in exceptionally clean condition.

Even the shelves are made of thick solid oak. Each shelf is height adjustable via the side support system. Simply move the side supports to the place you want them and reinsert the shelves. There is a stamp to the rear of ER and the crown. This means it was a Government issue in to the school. Internally the cabinet still has its original solid teak shelves with brass adjustable shelf height supports on both sides. The height of the shelves can easily be adjusted or they can be removed completely. The internal bolts and handles to the exterior are all present and original. These science lab cabinets are getting very hard to find and are so sought after; especially such original ones as this in solid teak. We can definitely appreciate why!

The cupboard has super colour and patina and is very on trend right now. Internally the cupboard is clean with one (original) shelf that can be moved up or down on the shelf supports. A superb late 19th Century old school cupboard in solid mahogany. We actually have two of these! The majority of Victorian school cupboards were more commonly made from pine but in a beautifully coloured quality mahogany, this cupboard is a testament to the quality. The weight, colour and grain of the mahogany show the quality of them. It is fitted internally with pigeon hole storage which can be configured to your needs by sliding the trays/ shelves in and out of each section to give flexibility on height. We have styled it as a fantastic bookcase but it could equally hold cups, glasses, plates etc for the kitchen or towels and toiletries for the bathroom. A gorgeously flexible piece!
