A fantastic looking original 1940’s SMOKING PROHIBITED sign. This sign dates to around the late 1930’s to mid 1940’s. It was originally hung in a railway station office on the Midland Mainline. It is hand painted on wood with perfectly aged colours and is in excellent preserved original condition. It has a nice weight and is a great size for home.
A super sign that now makes wall art with a difference!

An original hand painted sign dating from around the late 1920’s to early 1930’s. It is rear reverse painted and is in outstanding condition for its age. There are just some areas of ‘nibbles’ to the edges of the lettering. The glass is around 8mm thick which gives it a good solid weight. The edges of the glass are smooth and rounded. It hangs on a nice quality solid brass antique chain. All in all a beautiful sign with a very highly desirable subject matter. Hang it to make a statement (Non Smokers), laugh at the irony (Smokers) or just because it is fantastically decorative and stunning to look at. Quality and very different wall art for your home!

£0An original No Smoking sign hand painted on mirrored glass. We estimate it is late 1960’s to early 1970’s and would have hung in a pub or restaurant. We love the style, colours and condition of this. It is already fantastic but will age just perfectly.
It has been framed in a dark oak frame which looks original from the age of the tape on the back. Could easily be re-framed but we think the current frame adds to the character and will also age up very nicely. A super addition for home or commercial use. Character and style!
