An amazing tambour cabinet in Oak, dating from the 1930’s. The cabinet comes with all of its original pull out haberdashery type drawers and brass label holders, which are just gorgeous. The right hand side of each drawer is scooped, as these cupboards originally held paperwork/ filing in each drawer. The bottom two drawers do not open, they are fixed fascias. All other 14 drawers open as they should. The door runs well though the lock has been removed. The condition of the oak cabinet is solid and in very good order for its age. The drawer fronts have their original and natural colour variations due to the grain and patination over the years.
A beautiful tambour cabinet which are always so popular when we can find them! This piece offers beautiful styling with lots of flexible storage capabilities.

A truly stunning and beautifully coloured tambour cabinet in Oak, dating from the 1930’s. It came to us from an avid film collector in Hertfordshire. He used it to store slides; and hence why the drawers are lined with a crushed velvet type material. He sold this piece to us as he needed a bigger cabinet for his ever expanding collection!
The cabinet comes with all of its original pull out haberdashery type drawers and brass label holders, which are just gorgeous. The right hand side of each drawer is scooped, as these cupboards originally held paperwork/ filing in each drawer. All of the drawers run freely. There is also a very useful lockable cupboard to the lower section. The tambour door runs easily and also has its original lock and key. We adore everything about this piece – the size, the design work, the colour, and its history.
A very rare and beautiful tambour cabinet. This piece offers beautiful styling with lots of flexible storage capabilities.
