1955 Refurbished Oak Bureau from Staverton (Air Ministry)
£0FREE Ground Floor Delivery on this desk within approximately 130 miles of Cambridgeshire. Further afield areas will incur a surcharge to send via couriers.
A superb oak bureau supplied by Staverton in 1955 (stamped to the rear). These pieces were typically found on military bases either in the offices or private officer’s homes. This one came to us in an unloved and neglected state. We carefully stripped it back to reveal the beautiful oak grain. We then restored it sympathetically to reinstate the fantastic colour and condition that it should be in. A fantastic piece of UK social history and a beautiful piece of furniture. Ready for a lucky new owner to treasure and use for another 60+ years.
