An original Herbert Terry 1227 for Anglepoise lamp in exceptional original condition and a superb rare red colour (original paint). A fantastic original lamp in stunning colour and condition. No mis-shape to the shade, original paint in excellent condition and very clean springs. Herbert Terry manufactured these lamps from the late 1930’s to the 1960’s when Anglepoise replaced the model with the original Type 75 lamp (1968-73) then latterly the Type 90 (1973 to early 1980’s). The 1227 is a very popular model that sell really quickly – and we completely understand why. They look fantastic already but will just keep getting better with time. We have had many 1227, Type 75 and Type 90 Anglepoise lamps in stock but this is easily one of the best 1227’s we have come across. It brings a fantastic colour pop to your desk.

The lamp has had a new lamp holder with the on off slider up at the head for ease. It has also been fully rewired in an elephant grey twist fabric cord to keep it in keeping with its age and the cord it would have had from new.

An original industrial factory lamp in completely original condition. It dates to around 1940-50 and is in great condition for its age and past use. It came to us from a factory in Budapest. We cleaned the lamp, got the articulated joints moving and oiled. We then added some new twisted grey fabric cord and mounted it on a bespoke oak mount. The oak is also mid century to match the age of the lamp. The angle of the lamp is highly adjustable via the base ball joint and also via the articulated goose neck arm.
We love the style and the character. This lamp is a superb example of an original mid century industrial lamp. If only this lamp could tell you some of it’s stories…..?

An original early 20th Century inspection lamp in amazing original condition. Very rare to find these lamps in such amazing condition. Most of the cages have been battered, rusted, misshaped etc. . The handle is in its original oak finish with perfect colouring and patina from many years of use. The cage has great patina, is in amazing shape and such a gorgeous finish/ patina. The ceramic bulb holder is original and the lamp has been rewired in twisted black fabric cord.
The lamp can be sat on a desk, table, shelf etc. It can also be suspended from its cord. Either way it offers some unique and atmospheric lighting. The bulb required is a standard UK bayonet (BC) fitting with a whole array of colours and wattage to achieve the exact light you are looking for.

An original early 20th Century inspection lamp in super original condition. Very rare to find these lamps in such amazing condition. The handle is in its original wood with just some gentle wear. The cage has great patina.

An original industrial machinist’s lamp in unused condition! We couldn’t believe our luck when we found this early 1960’s lamp in its original box, never fitted up or used. Very rare to find these lamps in such amazing condition. Great colour and patina with a beautiful bespoke base, made from a piece of 1960’s teak to match the age of the lamp. There are some surface marks to the shade and a few marks on an arm but for a lamp that is around 60 years old it is in unbelievable condition. The shade is correctly in shape and the inside of the shade is outstanding for its age.
We love the style and the character. This is a pretty exceptional and unique lamp. Be quick……
