A rare original Herbert Terry 1209 for Anglepoise floor lamp in very good original condition. Presented in its aged white colourway (original paint). The 1208 and 1209 model Anglepoise lamps were the first design by George Cawardine of the now famous spring loaded Anglepoise lamp designs. This lamp preceded the iconic 1227 lamps that were produced by Herbert Terry & Son during the 1950’s and 60’s. Pretty rare to find a 1209 lamp in such good original condition, they are much larger than the lamps that followed. These original vintage Anglepoise look fantastic already but will just keep getting better with time. We have had many 1227, Type 75 and Type 90 Anglepoise lamps in stock but they always sell so quickly.
Very hard to find original 1209 Anglepoise lamps not all rusted, dented, paint peeling etc. An iconic lamp that should be treasured by a new owner.

No mis-shape to the shade, original paint in excellent condition and clean springs. Very popular vintage lamps that sell really quickly – and we completely understand why. They look fantastic already but will just keep getting better with time. This lamp has been re-wired, a new (antique brass) lamp holder added and PAT tested. The bulb is a standard UK bayonet fitting.

An original industrial engineer’s lamp in excellent original condition by EDL. Very rare to find these lamps in such amazing original condition and paint. Perfect green enamel colouring to the shade complete with the the original lamp holder switch. The lamp has been cleaned but the paint reserved to give a lovely sheen. The base has been rewired with a black twisted fabric cord for safety and the lamp mounted on a bespoke cut antique pitch pine base. The lamp arm swivels and is articulted to move the lamp and light exactly as you wish. A perfect desk, table or bedside lamp.

A rare original Herbert Terry 1208 for Anglepoise floor lamp in very good original condition. Presented in its rich cream/ dark ivory colour (original paint). A fantastic original lamp that is even rarer to have a fixed cast iron base, instead of the more common trolley wheel base, commonly used in hospitals, doctor’s surgeries etc. Herbert Terry manufactured lamps for Anglepoise from the late 1930’s to the 1960’s, when Anglepoise replaced the model with the original Type 75 lamp (1968-73) then latterly the Type 90 (1973 to early 1980’s). The 1227 is a very popular model that sells really quickly – and we completely understand why. They look fantastic already but will just keep getting better with time. We have had many 1227, Type 75 and Type 90 Anglepoise lamps in stock but they always sell so quickly.

Beautifully aged, classic scissor lamp styling with lots of adjustment to get the light beam exactly where you want it. The lamp head adjusts, the arm length, height and angle from the wall all adjust. Industrial styling but very clean and chic by this designer and producer of quality German lamps.

An original circa 1930’s industrial machinist’, or engineer’s lamp in excellent original condition. Very rare to find these lamps made by Dugdills in such amazing condition. Great colour and patina with a large, three section articulated arm. The lamp has been cleaned and re-wired in a black fabric twisted cord for safety and is switched on and off at the head, for convenience. All sections move to create many options in height, angles, distance from the surface etc. The lamp is mounted on a bespoke turned oak base, weighted in the centre for safety. It could be removed from the base and fitted to a wall or shelf etc, if you desired. The shade is in perfectly aged and coloured green enamel with the original and very clean white enamel inside. The arm has superb patina and the base has the all important Dugdills stamp for authenticity.
