A very pretty original Victorian bench. The bench dates to around the late 1800’s and is made from cast iron framework with mahogany seat and back. The legs have been painted black many years ago and have now aged perfectly with fading to the paint and some loss of paint (not too much). The seat and back are thick solid mahogany painted many times over the years with grey, blue and grey/ green – layers showing through. A very pretty distressed and very stylish little bench. Use inside or out, whichever you choose.

£0FREE Ground Floor Delivery on this item within approximately 130 miles of Cambridgeshire. Further afield areas will incur a surcharge to send via couriers.
A superbly styled and sized Victorian pine bench. The bench dates to around the late 1800’s and is solid to all joints. We fully stripped the bench of its later very dark brown stain and varnish. It was then primed, undercoated and treated to three top coats for resilience. It is now a beautifully rich deep French Navy. It could be used as a hall bench, boot room bench, dining bench, bedroom – or even in the garden or courtyard. A classic bench with superb originality brought bang on trend.
We have a matching pair of these but the second bench has not been painted yet. If you would like a matching pair of the same colour, or to have a bench in a different colour, please drop us a message.
Dimensions:
171cm Wide, 83cm Max Height (backrest), 45cm Seat Height, Max Depth 48cm (back leg to front leg)

A superbly aged early 20th Century Railway platform bench in original paint. The bench dates to around 1900 to 1920’s and is presented in it’s original and very old paintwork. The sign on the back of the seat is the original and perfectly aged enamel sign – all hand painted. The chippy paint effect is perfectly executed by genuine age and wear. The legs and back supports are in cast iron and painted in an aged gloss black paint too. The joints are secure. We cleaned the bench and coated it in a clear Matt lacquer to protect the existing paint effect and form a new seal.
It would look perfect in a hallway, boot room, conservatory, orangery – or of course in the garden or patio area.
