This very stylish old school gym bench dates to around the 1980’s and came to us from a school in Oundle, Northamptonshire where it spent its whole life. It has all of the fantastic old school/ gym style in a generous size for home. It is constructed from steel box section frame with with beautifully grained and coloured iroko for the hooks board and seat slats. It is very clean and in great condition for its age. We love the design and condition of the hooks too. SO much useful hanging space to tidy up that hallway or boot room?

It has all of the fantastic old school/ gym style in a perfect size for home. It is constructed from thick steel box section frame with iroko and teak used for the hooks board and seat respectively. It is very clean and in great condition for its age but has wear to the metalwork which is all original and gives the piece its authenticity. A solid and heavy piece, completely the opposite to modern imported reproductions.
A perfect way of tidying up a hallway or entrance whilst adding a real style statement.
Dimensions: 139cm High, 117cm Wide, 38cm Deep Bench, 42cm Seat Height

This gym bench dates to around the late 1960’s to mid 1970’s. It has ALL of the gorgeous old school/ gym style in a compact package. The bench is inly 98cm wide and 25cm deep. Perfect for a narrow hallway or where space is tight? We mounted matching numbered hooks on a board at 98cm wide to fix above the bench too. The listing is for both the bench and kooks board. The hooks are original 1960’s too. They offer lots of hanging space as the hooks have two big hooks each. Along with the numbers this package offers perfect old school styling and practicality but in a compact and super cute package.

Original heavy weight hook board from an old school gym bench. Dating from the 1960’s, it came from Mount Kelly private school in Tavistock, Devon. We think it is a fantastic Retro/Oldschool styling piece for your home. We cut the long hook board to a more manageable size and kept the original hooks and brass name plates. This has all the character and style of a genuine mid Century/vintage piece.
