A beautiful 1960’s desk handmade by Carson’s Furniture. It dates from around the late 1960’s and is in completely original condition but fully cleaned and gently restored by us. Presented in perfectly aged and coloured teak it is a very solid desk and heavyweight to reflect the quality of wood used. The work surface is very clean and very generous in size – perfect for a regular use desk. The top two drawers in the pedestals both have working locks and one key operates both locks. The bottom two drawers are deep filing drawers, complete with suspension rails.
The build and quality will mean this desk can only appreciate in value if looked after well.

A very stylish mid century teak desk by Carson’s Office Furniture of the UK. It dates from around the mid to late 1960’s and is in beautiful original condition but fully cleaned and gently restored on the top work surface by us. This desk came to us from a private owner in Lincolnshire, where it had spent its whole life from new. It is presented in a beautifully aged colour and patina with a really nicely sized work surface for home use. The drawers run freely and have been cleaned and sanded back internally. The bottom right hand drawer is a double height filing drawer with original suspension file rails still present. There are two pull out shelves to the top of both pedestals – one just a shelf, the other containing the original plastic stationery tray. There are a few very minor veneer ‘nibbles’ to the bottom side panels. Please see photographs for size and condition. All very small (circa 2-6mm).
A super looking desk, very useable for regular working but not too deep for most people to be able to accommodate. It is very Scandinavian mid Century in its design and colour. If this was Swedish or Danish it would be three times the price?!
Overall Dimensions: 74cm High, 137cm Wide, 76cm Deep
Kneehole: 64cm height clearance, 55cm wide
