A stunning design by Alfred Cox from the late 1960’s. The credenza, or sideboard has the quality hand craftsmanship expected by this high quality producer. Alfred Cox pieces were sold in high quality retailers, including Heals of London. The piece is long and heavy, reflective of the quality of Australian Walnut wood used. The main cabinetry is made of beautifully grained walnut, complemented by teak and beech to the handles and lower frame/ legs. All of the drawers and internal sections of the piece are clean and run freely. There is one light sub surface scratch to the top. Difficult to see unless very close but please see photograph.
With two cupboard areas and 4 drawers there is a vast array of storage space available. It could be used as a TV stand and media unit, drinks cabinet and books etc etc. Amazing mid century styling in a beautiful finish by a very well regarded name. It’s got it all.

A beautifully designed and constructed dressing table with original triptych dressing mirror above. This piece was designed by Alfred Cox and hand made in the Alfred Cox furniture factory for sale via Heals of London. The table and drawers have beautiful quarter drawn (Australian) walnut grain, reflective of the quality of timber used. We adore the grain, the lines and particularly the legs and huge bottom drawer. All four drawers are free running and are exceptionally clean inside. The top three drawers retain all of their original bespoke pull handles, from solid walnut. The full width bottom drawer is opened via the top pull overlap. The mirrors can tilt and swivel via the adjusting sliders at the back. All mirrors can also easily be removed should you want to just have the piece as a console table or slim desk. Very flexible and ultra stylish.
Both Alfred Cox labels present in the right hand drawer for authenticity. These Alfred Cox pieces are rapidly becoming a mid Century design classic and can only increase in value if looked after well.

A beautifully designed chest of four drawers. This piece was designed by Alfred Cox and hand made in the Alfred Cox furniture factory predominantly for sale via Heals of London. They have beautiful quarter drawn Australian walnut grain, reflective of the quality of timber used. We adore the grain, the lines and particularly the legs and base. The drawers are all free running and have very clean internals. They are gradated in depth from top to bottom and retain all of their original bespoke handles, from solid walnut.
These Alfred Cox pieces are rapidly becoming a 60’s design classic and can only increase in value if looked after well. We have the matching dressing table available too, should you want a matching suite.

A very nicely sized and designed 1960’s sideboard in teak and afromosia wood. Presented in good vintage condition. The style, size and condition make this a very on trend piece either as a side board, vinyl store, TV stand, media unit etc. A unique and very practical piece of 1960’s furniture. We do love the lines on this one!
There a very small cosmetic issues to the top of the sideboard. Literally a few 2mm dark spots and one feint mark to the front of the top drawer. Still in exceptional condition for its age but we have to point these small details out to be honest.

A very nicely sized and coloured teak sideboard by Austinsuite. Presented in good vintage condition. The style, size and condition make this a very on trend piece either as a side board, vinyl store, TV stand, media unit etc. A unique and very practical piece of 1960’s furniture. We do love the more compact size, the colour and those legs!
There are two cosmetic issues to the corners of the sideboard and are very small at circa 4mm but please see photographs for detail. There are also some cosmetic marks inside the cupboards but not visible when closed (also photographed).

A beautiful 1960’s sideboard hand crafted by Alfred Cox furniture. The sideboard is constructed from beautifully grained Australian walnut, which has been quarter drawn to produce the stunning grain and colour. Alfred Cox was a producer of very good quality furniture in the mid to late 20th Century. Many of their pieces were sold through Heals of London and similar high quality department stores. This piece came from a private owner. Internally the sideboard offers lots of very clean storage and retains the original Alfred Cox makers badges for authenticity.
With two large cupboard areas and four easy running drawers there is a very generous array of storage space available. It could be used as a TV stand and media unit, drinks cabinet and books etc etc. Amazing mid century styling in a beautiful finish by a very well regarded name. It’s got a lot to offer!

The cupboard would make a fantastic TV stand with space below for TV boxes, drinks, vinyls etc. The internal shelf is height adjustable or can be fully removed very easily. The GPlan label is still present for authenticity. Perfectly aged and coloured and very on trend at the moment.

A very nicely sized and coloured G Plan Fresco sideboard. Presented in very good vintage condition. We believe the legs are a later addition/ replacement (not done by us) but they are in keeping with the original afromosia legs that we have seen on other G Plan Fresco pieces. These legs are 1960’s in excellent condition and obviously make the piece unique. The style, size and condition make this a very on trend piece either as a side board, vinyl store, TV stand, media unit etc. A unique and very practical piece of 1960’s furniture.
