£0FREE ground floor shipping on this item within approximately 130 miles of Cambridgeshire. More remote and rural areas will incur a charge.
A very nice set of early 20th Century drawers in ash. The chest is completely original throughout with some great colour and grain from the ash. Much more common to find these drawers in pine, mahogany, fruit wood etc but the ash is more unusual and gives the piece a unique grain and patina. All of the pretty handles are original too. The drawers offer lots of stylish storage, all run easily and are very clean inside. A super staple set of drawers that will fit in to pretty much any room you need the storage.

£0FREE ground floor shipping on this item within approximately 130 miles of Cambridgeshire. More remote and rural areas will incur a charge.
A beautiful large chest of two over three graduated drawers in oak, dating from around 1920 to mid 1930’s. They were produced by the world renowned Gillows of Lancaster and London, also known as Gillow & Co., an English furniture making firm based in Lancaster, Lancashire, and in London. It was founded in Lancaster in about 1730 by Robert Gillow (1704–1772).[1]
Gillows was owned by the family until 1814 when it was taken over by Redmayne, Whiteside, and Ferguson; they continued to use the Gillow name. Gillows furniture was a byword for quality, and other designers used Gillows to manufacture their furniture. Gillows furniture is referred to by Jane Austen, Thackeray and the first Lord Lytton, and in one of Gilbert and Sullivan‘s comic operas.[3][a] In 1903 Gillows merged with Warings of Liverpool to become Waring and Gillow.
There are the tell tell signs of Waring & Gillow quality production throughout. The chest of drawers are finished in quarter drawn oak with beautiful swan neck brass handles attached to the drawers. The brass locks attached to the two top drawers are also stamped with Waring & Gillow. All five drawers are very clean inside and of sound and solid construction. Each drawer gets deeper from top to bottom with a very impressive deep bottom drawer that would have traditionally been used for storing blankets, bed throws etc. Now it is perfect for those chunky knit jumpers too!
A truly beautiful and unique piece of furniture ready for a new owner to treasure.

£0FREE Ground Floor Delivery on this item within 10 working days. Some further afield and rural areas will incur a charge.
An original set of early 20th Century Art Nouveau drawers. The drawers date from around 1910-20 and are arranged in a very useful two over three configuration. They are well constructed from solid wood and all drawers run freely and are clean inside (please see photographs). The design is very much Art Nouveau, reflected in the beautiful original handles and the gilded border work. The majority of borders are still present but show the obvious signs of wear from the last 100 years+ of use. Perfectly aged and gorgeous.
We love the design, the handles and the unusual bow fronted top. The drawers have their original locks and key to operate (apart from the top left lock which is not working). A beautiful set of drawers that can be used in any space you choose.

£0FREE Shipping on this item. More remote and rural areas will incur a charge.
A simply stunning chest of drawers, dating from around 1900-25. They were produced by the world renowned quality maker Jas (James) Shoolbred of Tottenham Court Road (1820-1931). Constructed from walnut, this chest is completely original and now offers the perfectly aged colour and patina of a genuine antique quality piece. We adore the fine intricacy of the inlaid veneer border to the top and each drawer front. A very subtle but top quality mark of fine handmade craftsmanship. The style is very much of the Georgian era in the UK. The handles and base reflect the stereotypical Georgian lines beautifully. The handles are a perfectly ages example of the ever popular (even to today) of the reed and ribbon design. With 5 graduated drawers in total, the chest offers an incredible amount of very useful storage. All drawers are very clean and free running.
This chest will look perfect in almost any room you choose. It’s a real keeper!

£0FREE Delivery on this item. Some further afield and rural areas will incur a charge.
This is an original antique chest of drawers originally produced circa early 1920 to 1930. The original handles are superb and could not be any more stereotypically Art Nouveau? It came to us in a tired state of dull dark brown and in need of restoration. We fully stripped the whole piece and refinished it in Little Greene Paint Company’s ‘Tea with Florence’ Eggshell. Eggshell has a natural seal against water and spills. The chest has some really good weight weight to it, reflecting some quality of handmade construction. Not a lightweight flimsy piece by any stretch. All four drawers are very clean internally and run freely. We also have a key that operates some of the drawers to lock them. We love the size and clean lines, together with the gorgeous detail on the handles.
We think it now offers a very contemporary and useful chest of drawers made from solid wood and offering many more years of use. Reclaimed and refinished furniture is so much better for the planet too! Please note this will have some signs of age with cosmetic signs of wear, though nothing significant, it is not a new piece. Please look at all photographs carefully for the condition and just ask if you have any further questions.

A simply stunning Edwardian chest of drawers for a table top. These beautiful drawers are solid oak throughout and probably weigh 40-50kgs. They came from a church and are amazing quality. £0FREE Shipping on this item. More remote and rural areas will incur a charge.
A simply stunning Edwardian was stand with marble top. The wash stand is unusual to contain a full chest of drawers and cupboard below and dates from around 1910-20. The more common wash stands were simply tables with marble tops. This exceptional example is made from beautifully grained oak, dating from around 1910-20. The oak framework and rear upstand have subtle, classic and beautiful hand carving work to them. A reflection that the piece was a handmade quality piece when new. The grain and colour of the oak have aged beautifully. The marble top has only one small ‘nibble’ around 2cm to the front left corner. The drawers and cupboard at the bottom are exceptionally clean and offer lots of really useful storage.
We adore the style, the colouring, the grain of the wood, the beautiful drop handles, and the original brass towel holders to both ends. All of this sat atop the original brass castors. We rarely see better wash stands than this. Just beautiful!
This chest will look perfect in almost any room you choose. It’s a real keeper!
