£0FREE Ground Floor Delivery on this desk within approximately 10 days. Some more remote and rural areas will incur a charge.
A very attractive and unusual 1960’s desk. It is constructed from beautifully aged and good quality oak. It was hand made in the 1960’s by quality producer Angus of London. Angus were more famous for producing large Roll Top desks in the 1920’s and 1930’s. This desk has many mid Century lines, such as the roll over long handles to the drawers and rolled edges to the desk top. The work surface is very clean and generously sized. Not too large to make it difficult to accommodate but a really nice size to work from. There are size drawers in total; all free running and with very clean interiors. There is one small repair to the left hand corner of the bottom drawer handle (please see close up photograph). A beautiful desk with lots of storage and a generous work surface – what’s not to love?
We love the look of the desk and that beautiful wood! The desk will disassemble to make moving in to a tight space easier. Please let us know if you would like the desk delivered fully made up or disassembled prior to delivery.

A very stylish and solid mid century double pedestal desk handmade in oak. It was produced by Angus (of London) around the late 1930’s to 1940’s and is in completely original condition but fully cleaned and gently restored by us. It presents itself in a beautiful deep honey coloured oak with superb original patina and a really nicely sized work surface for home use. With five free running drawers there is also a lot of very useful storage space. The bottom right hand drawer is a double height deep filing type drawer for extra storage. There are also two pull out shelves at the top of each pedestal. The desk also has a patented and unique full drawer locking mechanism which allows all drawers to be locked via the central drawer. Instructions are still printed on the label inside the top drawer. Some superb history and provenance.
English oak with quality dovetails joints showing the quality of construction. The drawer internals are also very clean. The top is original and in exceptional condition for the age of the desk. Save for two ‘lines’/ scratches (photographed) it is outstanding. Some very small parts of veneer are missing at the very bottom of the side panels (see photograph).
The build and quality will mean these desks can only appreciate in value if looked after well.
Please not this desk doe snot disassemble. You should double check that it will pass through all necessary access points before ordering.
