Rare Model1960’s Sideboard in Teak by Meredew
£0FREE Ground Floor Delivery on this item within approximately 130 miles of Cambridgeshire. More remote and rural areas will incur a surcharge to send via couriers.
A truly stunning and rare model sideboard by Meredew. It is of heavy solid construction from beautifully grained teak wood. The handles are made from leather with a stitch line for finish. Dating to around the late 1960’s it is a rare model that we have only found one other example of, which sold for £1674 GBP equivalent on a well known antique and vintage furniture site. We did no restoration work as the piece has clearly been loved and well looked after. We simply cleaned it and give it a buff. The wood and construction are of a high quality, reflected in the weight of the finished piece and the finishing. It was originally supplied by Duggan’s furniture store in Cardiff (opened in 1920), with the label still present on the back.
