A compact but stylish 1960’s desk with a very mid Century Danish look. This desk has perfectly simple lines and is very much of the mid century Scandinavian design ethos. We couldn’t find any makers stamps or labels though. The desk would be perfect for a tighter space, occasional use or as a child’s study desk. It is a standard height adult sized desk at 76.5cm high. With three clean and free running drawers it offers plenty of storage for its size. The top drawer is lockable via its original lock and one key.

A gorgeous mid century oak desk handmade and supplied by Durrant Office Furniture. It dates from around the early to mid 1960’s and is in completely original condition but fully cleaned and gently restored by us. This desk came to us from Oakham Private School in Rutland, where it had spent its whole life from new. It is presented in a beautifully aged oak colour and patina with a really nicely sized work surface for home use. The drawers run freely and have been cleaned and sanded back internally.
A super looking desk, very useable for regular working but a nice size for most people to be able to accommodate. The kneehole space is exceptionally generous, which enables the use of a larger more modern desk chair. Unusual for mid century kneehole desks!

A beautiful mid century desk in heavyweight teak dating from 1966. It was supplied for the Crown by Staverton for Military or Civil Service use and is stamped to the underside 01 1966 Staverton. These desks typically came from a Government office/ Public Service such as Civil Servant Offices, Schools, Railways etc. This desk has a fantastically sized work surface but the top can be unscrewed from the pedestals if you have a tight access area. The bottom drawer is double height and has a suspension filing frame for hanging folders. Very useful! All drawers are clean inside, lockable and the locks all work with the original keys supplied (a pretty rare occurrence!) The desk is fully cleaned and ready for regular use and another 60 years.
This will only get better with age and appreciate in value. A superb mid Century desk with a real British social history provenance.

A gorgeous 1960’s desk with a difference. It is Danish in original and made very well from teak and afromosia wood. It is solid in its build and very heavy for its compact size. The desk is perfect for a tighter space as it can fold down to a small size but then be extended on the top via a very easy slide system. It has classic mid Century design and therefore offers a super looking desk but also vey practical and very useable. £0FREE Delivery on this piece within approximately 130 miles of Cambridgeshire. More remote and rural locations will incur a charge.
A very stylish mid century teacher’s desk in beautifully grained and coloured teak. It dates from around the late 1950’s to early 1960’s and is in beautiful condition, fully cleaned and gently restored by us. This desk came to us from a private owner in Lincolnshire. It is presented in a beautifully aged colour and patina with a really nicely sized work surface for home use. The desk looks almost as good form the back as it does from the front – mainly due to the very carefully selected teak grain giving such incredible uniformity! The drawers are all dove tail jointed and run very freely. The bottom right hand drawer is a double height filing drawer. There are two pull out shelves to the top of both pedestals – one just a shelf, the other containing the original plastic stationery tray stamped with the Burndale maker’s mark.
A super looking desk, very useable for regular working with such a generous work surface and all of that storage.
Overall Dimensions: 76.5cm High, 136cm Wide, 75cm Deep
Kneehole: 67cm height clearance, 48cm wide
Please note: this desk does not disassemble. Double check all of your door openings and access points before purchasing.
