An original hand painted sign dating from around the 1950’s but very much in a 1930’s style. It came from the toilet door of an old theatre in Lancashire. It is hand painted on board, retains nice vibrant colours but does show signs of age and wear. A perfectly ‘used’ piece of vintage wall art.

An original hand painted sign dating from around the late 1920’s to early 1930’s. It came to us directly from the US and is rear reverse painted on acid etch glass. The glass comes in its original mounting frame with superb patina and colour. Originally it would have been mounted over a light box to illuminate the EXIT door/ way. We can make a light box for it if you would love it as a light or desk lamp. Just ask us for a quote with your requirements. Otherwise it makes a superb piece of vintage wall art as it stands.

An original hand painted sign dating from around the late 1920’s to early 1930’s. It is rear reverse painted and is in outstanding condition for its age. There are just some areas of ‘nibbles’ to the edges of the lettering. The glass is around 8mm thick which gives it a good solid weight. The edges of the glass are smooth and rounded. It hangs on a nice quality solid brass antique chain. All in all a beautiful sign with a very highly desirable subject matter. Hang it to make a statement (Non Smokers), laugh at the irony (Smokers) or just because it is fantastically decorative and stunning to look at. Quality and very different wall art for your home!
