A stunning example of an early 20th Century bookcase in walnut and walnut veneer. This was produced by Cooke’s of Finsbury who produced very good quality office and home office furniture, predominantly in English Oak, since 1885. We have been lucky enough to find desks, cabinets and chairs by Cooke’s and they always sell very well. This bookcase is in truly exceptional condition, having been owned by one family from new. Amazing original condition with beautiful colour and fantastic patina to the walnut framework. The central door and top are book matched quality walnut veneer with the frame in solid wood. A heavyweight piece, reflective of the materials and craftsmanship used.

All three doors have working locks and keys. Internally the shelves are fully height adjustable via the original brass support system (see photograhs).
A very sold, stylish and timeless piece that will just get better with age.
