Beautiful Victorian Glazed Bookcase in Oak

£0

FREE Shipping on this piece. More remote and rural locations will incur a charge.

A very stylish late 19th Century Victorian glazed bookcase in its original beautiful radial cut oak finish. It dates from around 1880 to 1900 and has original cabinetry, glass, beautifully ornate handle,  lock and key. The bookcase originally came from the Congregational Church in Westborough, Guildford – with the label still in tact on the rear (see photograph).

We fully cleaned and gently restored the whole exterior then repainted the top internal section with Farrow & Ball Wevet colour paint. This has given the piece the mix of antique, rustic and contemporary. It is very stylish, subtle in design and very flexible in the colours – to match a vast array of room palletes. The colour is superb having aged beautifully over the last 120 years+.

We think it would also make a fantastic and individual bookcase but could also look superb for cups and glasses in the kitchen.  The top section lifts off for ease of transportation and siting.

Superb original antique chic charm with a very contemporary slant.

Dimensions:  143.5cm High, 126cm Max Width, 36.5cm Max Depth (top). Max internal storage depth 26cm.

Delivery requires a dedicated two man service and will be to ground floor only.
