An unusual and rare item. This teleprinter desk by Creed & Co. dates from 1957-63 and was part of the computer infrastructure needed to support one of the first mainframe computers within businesses in the late 50’s/ early 60’s. The mainframes were by Ferranti but needed the teleprinter manufactured by Creed & Co.
These desk have such significance in the history of computers that they are in display in computer museums around the globe – including Norway and Melbourne, Australia.
Quite a rare and significant piece. For lovers of computers and/ or the industrial look this is a fantastic item!
