A beautiful old school glazed bookcase / cupboard dating from around 1910 to 1930. It is in its original mahogany finish with with original glass and a superb handle, lock and key. The piece is nice and solid with no joint movements. The patina is now perfectly aged. it does have some top coat crackling (see photos) but this only reflects its age and natural wear. There is also a repaired old crack to the right hand side (photographed). This may or may not be seen, depending on where you would position it and the colour blend has aged very well but we always like to point out any issues. A great size, offering so much stylish storage that it is a superb statement piece. The shelves are all height adjustable or removable.
Pieces such as this are getting difficult to find in original condition. Grab a slice of history and make an investment at the same time.

A beautiful and very stylish late 19th Century Victorian glazed dresser / bookcase in original walnut finish. It dates from around 1880 to 1900 and has beautifully aged original cabinetry, glass, brass ware, locks and key for both sections. This came from a private Client home in SW London where it lived through three generations, owned by the same family. It is very stylish, classic and flexible in design and very flexible to match a vast array of room styles. The colour is superb having aged beautifully over the last 120 years+.
We think it would also make a fantastic individual bookcase/ dresser or kitchen / diner cabinet. The piece is tall though and does not split in to two sections for transportation. The bookcase stands at 231cm tall so please check your ceiling heights carefully before purchasing. This is an impressive size that will certainly commands lots of attention and only appreciate in value.
