A very nicely designed desk/ office chair by Habitat. Originally sold circa late 1980’s it is clearly designed around the classic antique and vintage Thonet bentwood chairs – probably why we liked it so much! Constructed form solid wood it swivels and height adjusts making it a very stylish and usable desk chair. A future antique?
There is one small superficial crack at the back of the chair. Fully photographed, so please check it. Nothing structural or concerning but we prefer to highlight any imperfections that we come across.

We just love the stand out style and character offered by these vintage wire lockers. Can be used in so many ways; to either offer a storage solution, or simply a great design addition to the right room. Different, simple, stylish, and amazing value for money. Signs of age and wear are present, which we have purposefully left to show the items are genuine vintage, with original character.

A superb example of Globe Wernicke’s stacking ‘elastic’ bookcase. This is in the more rare and better quality oak veneer and radial cut oak, rather than the more common mahogany veneer ones. All glass and brass ware are original, together with the internal iron works for the ‘up and over’ scissor door lifts system. Pretty rare to see this on the Globe Wernicke’s.
Wernicke Co. produced the Elastic bookcase in Minneapolis, Minnesota in the late 19th Century (founded circa 1882) until they were bought by The Globe Files Co. in 1899. Wernicke invented the elastic bookcase and patented the designs.
Once Globe bought Wernicke the famous brand Globe-Wernicke began producing the elastic stack able book cases under patent in the USA. Thomas Turner also started marketing the design in England. Globe-Wernicke then expanded in to Canada, France, Belgium and Austria.

A simple and gorgeous Victorian school bench in antique pitch pine. It came to us from a school in Liverpool but needed some serious cleaning and restoration on the finish. It now offers a beautiful seat that would style up any hallway, boot room, utility room etc. All joints are solid and the bench is now fully cleaned and ready to place wherever you need it.

Dating from the mid 19th Century, these industrial trolleys came from the Victorian factory mills. They make perfect coffee or side tables; adding real style to complement an array of interiors.
