A superb solid oak bookcase dating from around the turn of the century to the 1920’s and very much of the Arts & Crafts influence (1880-1920 in the UK) . The colour of the oak and quality of carpentry show the overall quality of this piece. It has some nice details setting apart from the rest too. Very attractively designed and well produced feet, together with pegged shelf end stays set the design detail.  This reflects both the quality of carpentry and craftsmanship, together with the Arts & Crafts design elements.
